Liliha Bakery Ala Moana

Amazing spot for brunch and always is on-point for flavor and service. Ordered a New York steak and eggs for myself and my husband. Kids ordered Kim chee fried rice and the country omelet. One thing this location does well is fast and professional service as its location is in the Ala Moana mall. It’s busy, hectic and perfect👌

Came for breakfast. Food was very tasty and was a good portion size. Service was nice. They are in a Macy’s store. We visited on a Monday morning and they were very busy. You can check in on a tablet and you would be called when it is your turn. Will visit again.

Liliha Bakery was so… hard to find LOL. We were wandering back and forth through the Ala Moana Shopping Center trying to locate this restaurant. Was it in Macy’s? Next to Macy’s? Google Maps showed that it was in Macy’s, but we were like “there’s no way lol.” But after circling the perimeter a couple of times, we were like “idk let’s check the inside of the Macy’s.” We roamed around the inside of the Macy’s for a while and eventually made our way to the third floor where the women’s clothing section was. We didn’t actually think that Liliha Bakery would be there, but we were running out of places to look. But it was! Right there, on the third floor of the Macy’s, next to the dresses, was the entrance to Liliha Bakery. The sight was a little bizarre because like why would it be there, but regardless, that’s where it is. We put our name on the waitlist through the kiosk and waited about 15 minutes for our table. Service was very nice. We all got the loco moco with fried rice. It was so good! The hamburger patty tasted like it was fresh off a charcoal grill - a little smoky with a delicious charred edge. The garlic fried rice was so good too. We all scraped our plates clean! This was probably the best loco moco I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely have to give Liliha Bakery another visit on my next trip to Oahu… and this time, I’ll know exactly where to find it!

Once on a 5 night trip to Oahu, I ate loco moco almost everyday. This was one of the better loco moco’s I have eaten. The char on the burger was great, good beefy flavor without being overly salty. The gravy was not too heavy and it complemented the hand made patty. My only complaint was the over easy eggs. They could’ve been more runny - they were a little over cooked, but other than that I would highly recommend!

The server was great the only critique was we ordered a strawberry lemonade and we were given strawberry lemonade tea. On the menu it says they have a strawberry lemonade but I guess they only sell tea. Kinda sad we are stuck with tea we didn’t want. They should make changes to the menu so people don’t get misled. But the food was good. Waffard and pork roast were delicious. Rolls and liliha jelly were great as well. Might bring some jelly home.

This is a bakery located on the second floor of Macy's near the restrooms in Ala Moana Shopping Mall. They have delcious chiffon cakes - my favorites are the guava and passion fruit - pillowy soft with taste. The cream filled pastries are good also - huge assortment (need to watch your calories :) because they look delicious and tempting that you want to try everything). The restaurant has an extensive menu that fits everyone's needs. Portions are good and they can accommodate your selection to your dietary needs. Food is served temperature hot, good food presentation, food smell was aromatic and service was excellent. Our server checked on us constantly to make sure we were happy with our meal. The rolls are fried with butter and absolutely delicious. Prices are good for its portions, taste, food quality and service.

This is a really large bakery that was recommended to try the Loco Moco - smashed hamburger steak with gravy, rice and egg. A Hawaiian specialty to be had at any time of the day - breakfast, lunch or dinner. Don’t knock it till you try it! There was plenty of food, plenty of gravy and the hamburger was great flavour. There was a queue system with name for the table that didn’t take too long. You can also make reservations. Food came with their signature fried bread bun and jam (tastes like strawberry ice cream sauce)… delicious but probably soaked in butter! Staff were great.

My server, Lisa, was so helpful and kind! Breakfast was great and filling! Got the 2-egg breakfast with corned beef, highly recommended. The hot butter rolls toasted are so good! Perfect location for eating and shopping at the center. Just know you have to go in at the 3rd level Macy’s mauka side if you dine early before the store opens.

Food is good. Service is more about MONEY than taking care of a customer. Atmosphere, be aware of BIRDS. Birds fly over you, near you and pick food from your table and your PLATE see my pictures. In my opinion, this is a health issue. Suggestion: The birds issue can easily be solved by putting up netting / screens. Detail about service: My wife ordered vegie omlette. As in picture, the omlette was all torn up when it was served. When my wife addressed that the omlette is wet / not cooked all the way and all torn up. So, my wife told the waitress that the omlette is not cooked well, waitress said she have to call mgr. Surprisingly, the female manager did'nt want to adddress that to their kitchin BUT ONLY INSISTED THAT "THIS HOW THEY COOK IT", AND SAID THAT "YOU ORDERED IT THIS SO YOU PAY". THE MANAGER DID NOT OFFER ANY SOLUTION, SHE ONLY WANTED MONEY. My wife suggested mgr meet her 1/2 way on bill. she could pay half for this meal seeing how she had order orange juice and that she had ate the rolls served with the meal. THE MANAGER ISSISTED THAT YOU ORDERED SO YOU PAY. My wife told mgt you cant force me to pay for something I didnt order. This female manager made a big scene for USD $18.00 BREAKFAST OMLETTE and did not care to provide a customer service to a customer who is unhappy with a meal. Thus I stated above, that their service is focussed to collect money and not focussed to take care of customer. I hope the management will read my review and put a little more focus on providing good customer service.

Liliha Bakery in Waikiki is a must-visit! Aside from their high-quality pastries (which are as delicious as they look), their local dishes are next level! The loco moco was to die for. I honestly could eat it every day! The service was excellent, and what made our visit even more special was meeting so many fellow Filipinos. Their warm hospitality and friendly conversations instantly made us feel at home. It truly reminded us of the Philippines. 🇵🇭❤️ Whether you’re craving sweet treats or a comforting local meal, Liliha Bakery delivers on all fronts. Can’t wait to go back! 🍰🍳🌺
