LBD Japanese Bar & Lounge

9/2022 Just happened upon this tucked away jewel when we bar hopped in the area after a matinee across the street. Was pleasantly surprised at the decor, ambience and crowd. It was like being in Waikiki, while not, which I do enjoy. It was a mix of locals, visitors, regulars and Nihon-jin. We sat at the bar where they offered a pretty nice grazing menu. Although it can be just a tad pricey, you get pretty good value in presentation, taste, and creativity. They have a nice selection of whiskeys and my favorite was up there, but again, it's not your (my) neighborhood bar. Very friendly place. Our bartender, Sara?, so sorry we forgot but she was a little taller and blonde, was attentive. The manager (femake) and host (male & female) was really welcoming and got experience off to a great start! And did i mention they have two beautiful restaurants? One ramen and the other a sushi restaurant, all connected together. Better concept than Nobu had in the same space. Yup, we'll probably be back! 😉🤙✌️

Tried Jinya and decided to try LBD before going to a show. It's outdoors so be advised that the weather could affect your dining experience as it was a bit windy when we went. Cute area though. We were seated at a high top. Our waiter was very attentive and had excellent service. Love how you can order some things from Jinya (ramen) and Robata (sushi). We made it for some Happy Hour items and they were offering the full Ramen Bar that evening. We only ordered cocktails and appetizers though, but everything was tasty. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because there seemed to be some miscommunication with the kitchen. We were approached several times with orders that we already received or did not place. Other than that, I'm sure we'll be back again.

Outdoor seating with a nice bar. Excellent happy hour for food items. But you have to specifically ask for the happy hour menu for the discounted items, if you don’t ask, the waitress will only give you the normal full price menu. All the happy hour food items I ordered were delicious. To use the restroom you would have to walk through the ramen bar and the Jinya restaurant it’s all the way at the end by the kitchen. It’s a very beautiful restaurant inside!
