Lagoon Grill (2005 Kālia Rd)
About
Poolside Refreshment in Waikiki
Steps away from the iconic Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, Lagoon Grill serves as the casual heartbeat of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The open-air setup invites the scent of salt air and coconut sunscreen, perfectly capturing that quintessential Honolulu vacation pace. It is the ideal spot to pull up a stool after a morning of paddleboarding or swimming in the calm, protected waters of the lagoon.
Menu Staples for Sun-Drenched Afternoons
The menu focuses on straightforward, reliable fuel. You will find standard island-style burgers, crispy chicken tenders, and grilled sandwiches that hit the spot without the formality of a sit-down dining room. Their frozen cocktails and cold draft beers are the primary draw, helping locals and travelers alike combat the intense midday heat that radiates off the nearby concrete pathways.
A Local Observation
While the service is quick and designed for a high-volume beach crowd, the lines can grow surprisingly long during the peak lunch rush. It is best to arrive slightly before the noon hunger hits to snag a shaded table. The atmosphere is decidedly loud—expect the rhythmic thrum of nearby music, the splashing of kids in the lagoon, and the constant hum of beach chatter. It isn't a place for quiet reflection, but it is exactly where you want to be when you need a casual bite without leaving the water’s edge.
Whether you are staying at the resort or just passing through the west end of Waikiki, this spot offers a convenient, no-frills transition from the surf to a snack. It remains a fixture for those who prefer their lunch served in flip-flops and swim trunks.

Located just steps from the Paradise Pool at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, we decided to grab a burger from Ali’s since I didn’t want to go too far and leave the kids behind. One burger was $30, and adding fries was another $3, so the total came to about $35 before tip. Honestly, it was probably the most expensive burger I’ve ever had in my life. To be fair, it tasted pretty good, but unfortunately the kids didn’t like it. And considering the price, I probably won’t be coming back.

Great place to grab a bite while at the pool or the lagoon. When going to the lagoon, takeout works best. Menu is different than what is posted on Google. I'd get the chili cheese fries again - keiki decided this was a winner, mostly due to the chili 🏆

Went back here a couple times to grab drinks to take to sit outside of the pool area. Each time, the bartenders that we were able to interact w/ were great, super friendly! Only issues are: not a lot of drink options in general (just a few basic cocktails and a short draft list) and veryyy pricy, even for the Hilton.
