About
A Delicate Slice of Luxury in Waikiki
Stepping into this polished corner of Honolulu, the first thing you notice is the hypnotic, systematic layering of the signature Mille Crêpes. Located right in the heart of the Ala Moana Center, it serves as a cool, quiet oasis from the bustling tropical heat outside. The boutique radiates a minimalist aesthetic—think crisp whites, clean lines, and a display case that functions more like a gallery of pastry architecture than a typical bakery counter.
The Art of the Twenty-Layer Cake
At the center of the experience is the Signature Mille Crêpes, a technical feat involving no fewer than twenty paper-thin, handmade crepes interspersed with light, velvety pastry cream. The top is caramelized to a precise golden brown, offering a faint, satisfying crack when your fork passes through. Beyond the classic, the boutique frequently highlights seasonal infusions like matcha or earl grey, which bring a grounded, earthy balance to the sweetness. The aroma here is faint—a whisper of burnt sugar and high-quality cream—far removed from the heavy, cloying scents of standard bakeshops.
The Boutique Atmosphere
This is a destination for those who value precision. It is best suited for an afternoon pause between shopping trips or a refined dessert stop after dinner. You might find the seating area a bit compact, especially during the weekend rush when the queue snakes toward the storefront, but the efficiency of the staff keeps the movement steady. It is an ideal spot for someone who appreciates the marriage of French culinary technique and Japanese precision, enjoyed best with a cup of their floral, hot tea while watching the steady flow of people passing through this iconic Honolulu shopping landmark. Be prepared to wait a moment for a table, as this slice of indulgence is a well-known local favorite for a reason.

They have lots of Royce chocolate options! Went for the crepe cake slices, tried strawberry and their signature flavor! Despite the price, really good quality and taste!

Over a three week period in Honolulu, we ate at Lady M. on five occasions. The chocolates we sampled were excellent! The crepe cakes are unique and fantastic. We ate the red bean (adzuki), matcha, signature, chocolate, and tiramisu cakes. We enjoyed several teas including Darjeeling, Assam, and a wonderful mint, ginger infusion recommended by the manager, Kevin, who serves the teas in beautiful china. Kevin, BTW, is the coolest, kindest, most polite, and engaging person! He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and gave us excellent recommendations for shopping. We are already looking forward to returning to Lady M. when we’re back in Honolulu next year.
