I love this place! The waffles are so ono just by itself. Nicely toasted with a perfect crunch. My hubby loves banana cream pie, so I ordered him something like it. I still had to go to Costco, so they said they would put the homemade whipped cream in the freezer so it will hold up for our drive back to Kaneohe. Hubby loved it, and he doesn’t care for waffles. And the whipped cream was perfect! I had the Norwegian waffle with salmon. It’s like a bagel and locks but in a waffel, and the sauce is homemade. The 2 young women that work there are so kind and sweet. One of them is the owner. I always look forward to going there. Lots of free parking but gets crowded during lunch time. They are to the left of Zippy’s, on the corner. Go check this place out. Try something new. They also have acai bowls which got my attention and was the reason I stopped in the first time. Glad I did!! Sorry bout the bad photo. This is the Norwegian waffle. Go try em…go try em…go!!! 🫶🏻🤙🏼

Being from Belgium, I had to try this place, of course. Waffles from Liege in Honolulu. We tried the savoury Frenchy - which is a little bit like a "croque monsieur" but in between a waffle with some extra "cornichons" and a sauce that resembles tartare. We then had to try the sweet options - one with Nutella and one with powdered sugar. Both were very good although if you're going to order this I would recommend to eat the powdered sugar first to avoid disappointment after the ZOMGSOGOOD Nutella waffle. The staff is really nice and helpful. 5/5 from a Belgian!

Wow! Best Belgian Waffle on Oahu. Great service, family oriented facilities, delicious selection of waffles. The waffles are sweetened just right by itself. The toppings definitely elevates the flavor palette. The coffee also pairs nicely with the waffles. Plus they have a punch card for repeat customers.

Yes, I had the banana cream waffle and the Frenchie which is a ham and cheese with pickles. The taste was yummy. Sandwiches were crazy good. The way the waffle crunches with that light texture, the cheese was nice and glue and steamy, the ham of course delicious and the pickles at the right Tang to it. They put on a show while slicing the banana and two slices putting some cane sugar on top and torching it to brule it. Very funny impressive staff, we need more people to discover this gem in Hawaii Kai. the atmosphere was nice, the AC was nice and chilly. The view of the Marina and the mountain was beautiful, they even have outdoor seating right on the marina.

Excellent waffles. The sweet waffles are awesome, the savory ones even better. Had savory waffles for the first time and loved them. Tried The English waffle (Grilled chicken, onion, cheese and mustard). It was awesome. My wife is a vegetarian but there weren’t any vegetarian savory options. The chef was kind enough to make a fresh one from scratch without any meat. My wife loved The Italian (Pesto, Burrata, Sundried tomatoes, no meat). I wish there one La Liégeoise in Seattle!

I couldn't choose between the Norwegian (two waffles) or fresh strawberries so I ate them both! 😋 They're both delicious. The Norwegian is a savory waffle sandwich with smoked salmon, Boursin cheese, tomatoes, red onion, and Ikea's dill mustard sauce. The fresh strawberries have a sweet waffle. Yummmm! And the dough comes from Belgium. Brings back memories of eating a Liege waffle in Amsterdam's Museum Quarter.

I have lived in Belgium and this is by far the most authentic Belgian waffle I have had in the United States. This is a Liege style waffle, so there is sugar right in the batter, no need for toppings. Though the offer toppings! This is a chain, but the first location of it's kind in the United States. They told me the batter is made in Belgium. Great chairs outback to snack with a view of Koko Marina. Aloha, Belgique.

Made to order waffles with a variety of toppings. Was told that their Savoury Waffles won't be for sale until 1st weekend of April so can't wait until then.

Found this place purely by the delicious waffle aroma coming from the place. My 15 year old son ran in and immediately ordered 2 waffles covered in Oreo cookie and another one smothered in cookies and cream. Both done to perfection by the owner who was an amazing lady running her shop solo. Definitely a must visit location in Hawaii!

New waffle place in Hawaii Kai, in the former Sophie’s Gourmet Pizza location - authentic Belgian waffles made with a brioche dough (was told it’s flown in from France), fluffier/thicker than your average waffle. On grand opening day March 18 they were giving away 500 waffles, and they’ll begin selling the next day. Next week they’ll have their smoothies ready for sale, and their savory waffles will be available starting April 1. Located next to the tourist dining destination Moena Cafe, so it’s probably going to get busy in the mornings/lunch. Lots of parking available in the Koko Marina Shopping Center - grab a waffle or lunch before hitting a matinee at the theater across the lot!
