Great neighborhood gem. Every dish we had was great. The garlic noodles and Galbi were fantastic. Had the ahi filet for the fresh catch and it was masterfully done. Our server Aaron was extremely knowledgeable about the menu, exhaling things in great detail and basically guided us through a truly enjoyable meal. Highly recommend.

It's hard for me to leave bad review. But I think honest review not only help customers to be awared of what they might get but also needed for the growth of the restaurant quality in the future. Business wants to sustain success needs to take constructive feedbacks from customers in order to improve. I love food and I explore a lot of great restaurants in Hawaii in over 15 years, including fine dinings. Honestly, the food didn't stand out in taste, despite the good presentation. The restaurant could be noisy, maybe I didn't come at the good timing. I was there for lunch. Yes, there's longer than usual wait for food, though the restaurant wasn't too busy. I agreed with other customers reviews, that dirty plates left there and tables weren't clean. I hope there'll be improvement in the future if I ever return.

I went for lunch after church with my friend. The food was DELICIOUS and the atmosphere was delightful. The restaurant had parking. I had the avocado toast and my friend and I split corny bread (appetizer) and pancakes of the day, which were coconut (for dessert). My friend loved her food (some sort of vegetarian dish with tofu (?) - she's vegetarian). A guy next to us was having a matcha IPA beer that looked delicious and he said it was great. I got my husband a burger for takeout. He said it was "hearty and high-quality".

Kapa Hale is a local gem, offering creative dishes in the HRC (Hawaiian Regional Cuisine) tradition. Every single dish we recently sampled turned out to be exceptional. We ordered: Appetizers: Naan Ya Business (A) – very soft and pillowy, accompanied by a superb tikka masala curry Vegetables: Eggplant (A) – very creative eggplant tempura Happy Hour Specials: Garlic Noodle (A) – great flavor Dumplings (A+) – incredibly flavorful and creative Soy Short Rib (A+) – exquisitely tender and juicy. Our favorite dish! Mains: Pork Chop (A) – loved these tamarind pork chops served on a bed of orzo Our server, Ethan, provided us with top-notch service. Before tipping, we paid $130 for a two-person meal (no alcohol, no dessert, only water, 6 dishes). Kapa Hale dazzled us with their culinary inventiveness and bold flavors. We can’t wait to try some of their other delicacies!

We came for lunch during a dreary rainy day. It was a perfect shelter - warm and friendly service, delicious food, and a relaxed ambiance. Lunch portions are generous, you can easily share dishes unless you're a big eater. I recommend making reservations. There is a small parking lot fronting the restaurant which shares the location with the Olive Tree Cafe, or a short walking distance from Kahala Mall.

Kapa Hale is the real deal. The food is ridiculously good, inventive, local, and made with heart. We’re visiting from Scottsdale, AZ, and honestly, there’s not a single restaurant back home that could hang with this place. Friendly, down-to-earth staff. True chef-driven, farm-to-table cooking that’s all about flavor and freshness. The vibe is super casual, not fancy at all, but don’t let that fool you. Once the food hits the table, it’s next-level. If you’re in Honolulu and love great food, do not miss this spot.

I was very impressed with this restaurant. I love the fusion of flavors and creative style that inspires every dish. I also like how the menu puts vegetarian options front and center, even though I’m not a vegetarian. It was fun to choose a few dishes and share them with my family. The desserts were exceptional. I hope to return soon!

Great place to dine! It was a little loud in the main room indoors and hard to hear each other, the could use some sound tempering in the main room. The dishes were inventive and tasty, def flavor forward but nice service too. The lei salad and the chicken were really fantastic
