Kan Sushi

I ordered seared salmon and black pepper tuna sushi that was really delicious. So much so I ordered it again minutes later and it tasted completely different. We also received a roll that we didn't order and it was bland. But other than that everything was okay. Also the table and floor adjacent to mine were filthy and the employees just kept walking past it.

Lunch was $28.95 per person on a Sunday for the 3 of us, no lines when we went there at opening time of 11 AM. Service was nice and friendly, but frequently missing items or mixed up items from other tables. Items came out quickly or very late (35 min for sushi roll) to missing (did not come out at all), or ordered items mistakenly delivered to another table. No water refills unless you explicitly ask, even if your cups are completely empty. If there is a large group there, be prepared to wait extra long or have items get mixed up more frequently. We did not have the 90-min limit forced on us since they got our orders messed up and the place was not very full, except for a large group of people who came in after us. Food was fresh and tasty except for the baked Lobster Roll (4 pcs) that I thought was fishy tasting and I normally like lobster. Hot Cheeto roll was odd-tasting, not my favorite. Shrimp Tempura were 3 pieces and anorexic shrimp dripping with grease but OK. Garlic Butter Edamame was super good. Hawaiian Steak decent. Hot and Fresh Roll my favorite, and I don't like raw fish. Order as much as you're allowed as soon as you get in, because it's hard to get the attention you need once more people come in. Walk several hundred feet onto Hobron Lane to Kulu Kulu for Japanese desserts if you still have room, their desserts are top-notch, especially the Nama Chocolate cocoa truffle squares and the individual Ube Mousse Cake and their seasonal flavors (currently Strawberry), which are light, airy, tasty and just the right hint of sweetness. Parking is at the Canterbury Place where Kan Sushi is, rate is $6.00/hr, or you can park at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor Marina and pay less for the metered parking, but you'll have to walk. Another option is park at Ala Moana Shopping Center and walk pretty far but I'd recommend buying something so your car won't get towed (there are security cameras literally everywhere!).

Mixed review, foods are ok but the sashimi is not very fresh. But they do have variety of selection of sashimi and mind blowing sushi 🍣. Service is ok but we did waited a long time for several items. The atmosphere is very nice and kids friendly. The price is a bit expensive for not offering dessert for $59.99 per person dinner.
