Kamukura Surf + Dine

We came in because of the sign NO RAMEN NO LIFE and we totally loved the food and the vibe! The only thing is a 4 star… you get one glass of water at the beginning and after…. nobody will notice that you might need more…

The food is amazing, but don’t come here unless you want to spend $30 on ramen noodles or it’s happy hour. The happy hour menu looks like the best happy hour me I on the island. I would have given this place four stars, but deducted a star because there was a three percent kitchen service charge added to the bill. Like, I’m sorry your kitchen had to prepare the meal I ordered at your restaurant. I have to pay extra to have my $30 bowl of noodles and broth cooked? That’s crazy. And there a three percent fee to pay with a credit card. And the server brought us our tab about a third of the way through our meal. I would have ordered another beer, but figured my server was done selling to me. Obviously you should expect to pay more for a gourmet meal, but you shouldn’t leave the restaurant afterwards feeling like you were nickeled and dimed in the process and then rushed out the door.

This place was surprisingly good. Got the traditional ramen, gyoza, dragon roll, and edamame. Happy with everything. No wait to sit down. Food came out fast.

Jack was a very nice waiter. I really enjoyed the happy hour ramen—it was absolutely delicious—and the gyoza as well. Happy hour food and drinks are available every day from 2 PM to 6 PM.

Love this place! Great happy hour specials from 2p-6p everyday. This can easily become your daily stop in for small plates (yet filling!) Bartenders are nice, lots of helpful suggestions. When I leave Oahu, I will miss this place! Worth coming back for. :-)
