Cool Down with Traditional Korean Bingsu

Stepping into Jejubing feels like a quick departure from the humid Honolulu air into a crisp, minimalist sanctuary. Located right near the Ala Moana shopping district, this spot specializes in bingsu—a Korean shaved ice dessert that manages to be both refreshing and incredibly indulgent. Unlike standard snow cones, the texture here is snow-like, almost creamy, melting instantly on the tongue.

The Art of the Shaved Ice

The signature Injeolmi Bingsu is a must-try, topped with a generous dusting of roasted soybean powder and chewy rice cakes that provide a perfect contrast to the finely milled ice. You will hear the rhythmic hum of the high-end industrial ice shavers buzzing behind the counter, a sound that signals a cooling treat is on the way. The presentation is elegant and unassuming, served in heavy bowls designed to keep the temperature low until the very last bite.

A Local Favorite for Afternoon Respite

It is the ideal place for those who need a break after a long afternoon of walking through the nearby commercial hubs. The interior keeps things simple with clean lines and bright lighting, making it a favorite for students and locals who want a quiet corner to scroll through their phones or catch up with a friend. Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you arrive during peak weekend hours, as the popularity of these chilled delights can draw a line that spills toward the door. While the parking in this part of town can be a bit of a puzzle to solve, the reward of a mountain of sweetened red bean and silky ice makes the navigation well worth the effort.

A nice korean dessert cafe inspired by Jeju (an island off the coast of South Korea). It is a bit difficult to know it's inspired by it as only if you've been there before you'll notice the typical Jeju statues you see at the entrance. The food came out really quickly and it was tasty. I wouldn't say it was my favorite bingsu place to get so I would rate it a 4/5. The server was really good though as making sure the place was clean. He didn't just stand still and would continuously make sure the place is clean

Visited December 23, 2025 We were on a seventeen day cruise of Hawaii aboard the Ruby Princess, and Honolulu was our second stop. We spent almost the entire day shopping at Dior, and by the end of it we wanted a special treat for our two little girls who are six and seven. The manager at Dior, Li, warmly recommended JeJubing Dessert Cafe, and we were immediately excited to try this Korean shaved ice experience. It felt like the perfect way to end a long but fun shopping day. We ordered an Oreo shaved ice for our older daughter. I honestly cannot remember exactly what my younger one chose, but it was something festive and Christmas themed. My husband and I were hoping for the mango shaved ice, but it was sold out, so we shared the pineapple instead. The shaved ice itself was delicious. It was light, fluffy, and very refreshing, with great flavor and presentation. We truly enjoyed the texture and taste, and it felt like a fun and unique dessert experience. The reason I am taking one star off is due to a very scary moment as a parent. My husband clearly told the sales girl at the counter that our younger daughter has a severe nut allergy. Unfortunately, when we received our order, her dessert had nuts mixed throughout, not just sprinkled on top. Within her first few bites, she realized something was wrong and started pulling nuts out of her mouth. As a mom, that moment was frightening. We immediately went back to the counter. While the staff seemed a bit nonchalant, they did replace the order for us, and we appreciated that it was corrected. Aside from that issue, the shaved ice was wonderful, and the overall concept of the cafe is lovely. We do recommend this place, especially for families and anyone looking for a refreshing dessert, but with a gentle reminder that attention to detail, especially with allergies, is incredibly important.

A Korean shaved (snow) ice place that’s a bit different than your Taiwanese snow ice places on the island. I tried the injeolme (Korean rice cake that’s comparable to Japanese or Taiwanese mochi.) It was pricy for some frozen water treat, though it tasted fine. The injeolme was good, but I only found very small amount of mochi bits. The service was slow, but very friendly. This place was definitely understaffed (we had to clean our own table) as you would think the owner can hire a few more people for what it’s charging the customers.
