Jack in the Box - Honolulu (Kapiolani Blvd)
About
A Quick Stop Near the Kaka'ako Pulse
Situated right on the edge of the bustling Kaka'ako district, this Kapiolani Boulevard outpost serves as a reliable beacon for those navigating Honolulu’s evening traffic. Whether you are coming from a concert at the Blaisdell Center or just finishing a late shift in the city, this spot offers that familiar, no-frills quick service Hawaii locals have relied on for decades.
What to Expect
The interior echoes the standard chain aesthetic, but the energy here is distinctly local, often filled with a mix of night owls and commuters. You will notice the familiar sizzle of the deep fryers the moment you step in. It is the kind of place where you come for a specific craving—perhaps the iconic Sourdough Jack or the crunchy Tacos that have become a regional cult classic. The drive-thru line can snake toward the street during peak late-night hours, so keep that in mind if you are planning a quick exit.
Practical Honolulu Dining
While the footprint is compact, the accessibility remains its biggest draw. Being positioned along a major transit corridor makes it an effortless stop if you need a reliable, predictable meal without the wait times of a sit-down establishment. It provides a straightforward dining experience focused entirely on convenience, offering a familiar menu of burgers, breakfast items, and shakes that taste exactly the way you expect them to, no matter the time of day.

I dunno but when I ordered the fried rice in the morning it was disgusting tasted like wet sponge or a dirty rag 🤮 other than that the side salad was great 😃 👍🏾

Today is January 22nd…The team of guys who are working at 5pm..The best! They always have positive attitudes and they make my food fresh every-time! Speaking of which…I come here every other day almost at different times and I have never had an issue with the customer service. I had 1 time where my food wasnt great, but they fixed it without issue. This is my favorite late night fast food restaurant…always good service

We just flew into town and were dyyyyyyying for some mini churros. We don't have a jack in the box where we are from so we just had to stop and the churros did not disappoint. They were warm, crispy, crunchy and covered in cinnamon. The service was awesome! I don't know the guy's name who cashed us out but he was very kind and made sure we had napkins and ketchup. Our order was correct and fresh. I love great service! I feel like too many businesses have lowered their customer service expectations since COVID but this young man was great!

Worst . Food and service. Food safety issues during my wait for meal. Salad greens were brown and dried up. Hash browns were oily and rancid taste. Coffee was cold and bad tasting. Will not go to Jack in the box franchise because of this experience .

I have given this place so many chances. But they get my order wrong 4/5 times. Tonight I went through, and as my order was showing up on the screen, I noticed that my number #10 said $14.28, even though the sign says $12.59. So my total including the 69 cent upcharge for curly fries comes to nearly $16. I asked about it very nicely at the window and she say she doesn't know and makes no attempt to find out. I didn't push it because I was hungry and I just wanted to eat. Get home (two blocks away) and my fries are old and tough like they've been sitting there for a while. And for about the 5th time, the ketchup I specifically asked for was not in the bag. The chicken sandwich was delicious, but it's not unreasonable for me to expect to pay the price that is advertised on the sign. The ketchup isn't that big of a deal, people forget things, but if your sign says a different price you should charge what the sign says. I've been overcharged multiple times, given old fries, chicken tenders that were ice cold in the middle, the wrong sauce, no ketchup, regular fries when I ordered and was charged for curly, all at this location and I've been there less than 10 times.

This was my first time at a Jack in the Box, and honestly, the food was solid. Way better than I expected! I don’t think this place gets enough credit—it deserves more hype. Definitely a spot I’d hit up again when I’m craving fast food.

Best deal in Waikiki.2 tacos for under $2 bucks. Taste great, same recipe since it's inception. Not sure if it's BEEF or some combination of filler & beef the main thing is the TASTE the seasoning is timeless. I dined on these same tacos back in the what? 90's . The quality & pricing has remained the same. Frankly it's the ONLY food product I eat at JNB.... mostly for nostalgia.
