Infused Soul Food Cafe
About
Island Soul with a Southern Kick
Tucked away in the vibrant culinary landscape of Honolulu, Infused Soul Food Cafe brings a welcome change of pace to the island’s dining scene. This is where the slow-cooked tradition of the American South meets the high-energy spirit of Oahu. Upon walking in, you are greeted by the intoxicating aroma of hickory-smoked meats and the faint, sweet scent of cornbread baking in the oven.
The Experience
The space is unpretentious and cozy, designed for those who value flavor over formality. It is the ideal stop for locals craving a hearty lunch or visitors looking to escape the typical tourist-heavy menus of Waikiki. Expect a lively atmosphere where the background hum of local chatter mixes with the clinking of plates. One quirk to note: space is limited and seating fills up fast during the lunch rush, so if you’re planning a group outing, arrive early to secure a table.
Signature Bites
The menu leans heavily into comfort classics that have been refined with a tropical twist. The signature fried chicken is consistently praised for its crackling, seasoned skin and succulent meat, often paired with sides that rotate based on local market availability. You’ll find soulful staples like collard greens rendered with smoked pork and mac and cheese that manages to stay creamy without losing its structural integrity. Pair your meal with their house-made iced tea, which carries just the right amount of sweetness to balance the savory heat of their spices.
Why Visit?
Infused Soul Food Cafe isn’t about white tablecloths or complex plating; it is about providing authentic, consistent, and deeply satisfying food. Whether you’re a lifelong Honolulu resident or someone wandering through the neighborhood looking for a meal that warms you from the inside out, this spot delivers a grounded, honest experience that stands out in the city.

I am writing this review as I eat my oxtail plate , I was referred to this place from a friend and oh my goodness IT IS AMAZING ! This is my first time trying oxtail and I am very pleased with the flavors. Garlic mashed potatoes are so creamy and the Mac n cheese stays hot in every bite !! I wish they were open on weekdays because this owner seriously knows how to cook. Highly recommend if you want flavorful soul food !!

Wow!!! I am so happy I found this spot. I went there yesterday for the first time with my sister and EVERYTHING was delicious! From the sweet tea to the corn bread to the collard greens. The Mac n Cheese was pure perfection and I’m not even a Mac n Cheese person. We ordered all the sides and every single one of them was so flavorful. We definitely will be back because I have to try the fried catfish and the shrimp n grits. Janai is super nice and such a talented chef. I can taste the love in the food! It is our new favorite spot for sure!
