Sip the Art of Modern Tea Crafting

Stepping into Heeretea, tucked away in the bustling heart of Honolulu, you are immediately greeted by the sweet, bright scent of freshly muddied seasonal fruits. This isn’t your standard boba shop; the space feels like a minimalist laboratory dedicated to the science of the perfect steep. The interior is clean and airy, making it a favorite landing spot for students and locals looking to escape the tropical humidity with a chilled, customized beverage.

The Signature Foam Experience

The star of the show here is undoubtedly the cheese foam series. Unlike heavy, cloying versions found elsewhere, the cream cap at this Keeaumoku-area staple is whipped to a velvety consistency that balances salt and sugar perfectly. Their signature fresh fruit teas—often featuring generous chunks of dragon fruit, grapefruit, or strawberry—offer a refreshing, tart punch that cuts through the richness of the dairy. Watch as the staff precisely measures tea leaves to ensure a robust base that never turns bitter.

A Note on Your Visit

While the drinks are consistently impressive, keep in mind that the popularity of their signature brews can lead to a steady queue during lunch hours. Parking in the surrounding blocks can be a bit of a challenge, so consider a quick stop-and-go or a walk if you are nearby in the Midtown Ala Moana vicinity. Whether you are looking for a post-shopping pick-me-up or a late-night treat, the vibrant, refreshing flavor profiles provide a clean, modern take on traditional tea culture right here in Hawaii.

The drinks are good and everything but it's just that the staffs are not that great at doing their job. They didn't give me my order. My friends and I bought 5 bobas but they only gave us 4 bobas. Also, the cashier couldn't even find the drink that we were ordering. THEY SHOULD PRACTICE FIRST BECAUSE WE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY TO BUY BOBA BUT WE COULDN'T EVEN GET THE BOBA THAT WE WANTED!!!

The boba milk tea was the best I’ve ever had on island. The esthetic was chic and a great place for high school kids to hang out. Everything was so fresh and the tea wasn’t overly sweet like most milk teas on island.

Whole, this place is one trip. It's in the middle of kalihi or as some would call it, Kali high. Anyways, we go inside and while you can't say it's not a boba shop, it's more of a tea house that serves boba, if you know what I mean, lidat. Anyway, I ordered an avocado and cheese tea and it was pretty onolicious, I got to say. I give it straight prop for representing in its own slightly unusual way but I would definitely go back again.

The specials have so many layers of flavour and complexity to them it's hard to believe it's just boba. The wait was almost 30 minutes though for a few drinks :( we think it might have been a big order right before we got there. Otherwise good boba!

Clean and spacious. Portions of drinks are really small for the price.

New up and coming tea establishment with cheese teas. Cheese teas are quite popular in Asia and they taste pretty good. It’s just like a milk tea, except the dairy in this case is cheese. The cheese is slightly saltier than milk, but it still tastes good and it accentuates the flavor of the tea as well. I’ve tried the Four Seasons Cheese Tea and the Tea King Cheese tea. Both of these come with the cheese on top of the tea. You have to tilt the cup so that you can get some cheese and tea in the same sip. You will end up with a cheese mustache! Halfway through the drink, I mixed the tea with the cheese and ended up with what’s essentially milk tea. All in all, it’s an interesting concept and I quite enjoy their cheese teas. My friends have tried their fruit teas and really liked it as well. There is a small parking lot, but I’ve never had issues with parking. Credit card minimum is $10. Tap to pay accepted.

I always come here with my friends. It's a great place to hang out and their cheese tea is the best on the island in my opinion. The cheese is not too thick so you can get a bit of the cheese in every sip. I like their cheese milk tea or their Oreo cheese tea. There's a good amount of seating in the shop.

Best place to hang with friends! You can even hangout there as long as you like! I stayed there from 2PM till 5. Amazing! Tho it’s kinda expensive, it’s the best place to find good drinks! Ramen noodles are also the best! The red one (right) is the large one which is only 5.18! They even make it for u! Which should be done in 2 min!

From the cafe aesthetics, to the crispness of tea flavor, to the mellow blend of milk, and the bitter-sweet addition of boba, Heeretea is a quality tea cafe. Enjoyed waiting on my drinks to be ready because of the natural, naked design of the cafe, which I absolutely enjoyed. Of course, the drinks is the main matter, and the classic milk tea didn't disappoint. Appreciate the fact that you can adjust the sugar level. Finally, the containers are quite sophisticated, and make you feel like you're drinking gold.

Very nice and refreshing Hong Kong Style Tea drinks on North King St. This place is still new and catching on fast Many variations of tea including Cheese, milk, fruit and mix tea in cold and hot. Light snacks and fruit also available. Very nice upscale place is clean and well decorated. The staff is very helpful and friendly. All in all, it it a very peaceful place to grab a cold drink and relax for a while. They have a clean unisex restroom, many comfy tables and chairs and free wifi.
