Hawaiian Aroma Caffe (150 Kaiulani Ave)
About
A Morning Ritual in the Heart of Waikiki
Step off the bustling sidewalks of Waikiki and into Hawaiian Aroma Caffe, where the open-air design invites the warm Pacific breeze to mingle with the aroma of freshly pulled espresso. This isn't just a place to grab a caffeine fix; it is a high-energy lounge that balances Italian coffee traditions with the laid-back spirit of the islands. Whether you are finding a corner to work on your laptop or meeting friends before a day at the beach, the space pulses with a vibrant, community-focused rhythm.
Signature Bites and Island Espresso
The menu leans heavily into indulgent breakfast classics. The signature waffle dishes are a major draw, often served with generous heaps of fresh local fruit and whipped cream that balance out their dark-roast coffee blends. You might find yourself waiting a few extra minutes for a seat during the morning rush, but the sight of their colorful acai bowls and savory breakfast paninis makes the minor wait entirely worthwhile. The baristas here are known for their latte art, turning even a simple morning mocha into a visual treat.
Local Flair Meets Modern Design
Situated just steps from the sand in the Kaiulani district, this spot embraces the tropical aesthetic with reclaimed wood accents and plush lounge seating. It is the kind of place where the chatter of locals and the clinking of porcelain mugs create a soundtrack to your vacation. While parking in this dense corner of Honolulu can be a test of patience, the ease of accessibility for pedestrians wandering from nearby hotels makes it an essential stop for anyone wanting to experience the daily pulse of the city's coffee scene.

Clean, cute, professional, and best pre-hike food 🥝 Conveniently located in the lobby of the Ohana East Hotel but stair access is available through the street-- cutest stairway that you can't miss by the way!!! I'd definitely recommend!

The atmosphere is very nice, however coffee was terrible the eggs Benedict below average. My daughter very much enjoyed her French toast. Service was okay, If you would like to use the restroom you need to leave your id as they won’t trust you returning the key

Nice place hidden away in a corner. Either walk up the colorful stairs or take escalators to the hotel and restaurant is in front of reception. waffles are really good. We tried guava and green tea flavors and, weren't disappointed at all. However, coffee was not up to the mark. Tried cappuccino with almond milk and felt that coffee was not strong; may be I should have asked for more espresso shots. Staff was friendly and cheerful. Wish they had a few savory options. Highly recommended.

The coffee shop was hidden but very cute. You walk up colorful stairs to a very well decorated coffee shop. We got an iced vanilla latte and a regular coffee. The Iced vanilla latte was tasty, strong and not too sweet. The regular coffee was more warm then hot. They also served breakfast and açaí bowls of which we did not partake. I would go again for the vanilla latte

Colorful vibrant decorations, great energetic vibe and good food! The croissant was fluffy and flakey, they hot pressed it so it smelled so great! Açaí bowl was amazing as well, tons of flavorful berries with granola and honey, will come again!

It's a coffee shop with breakfast that includes waffles, smoothies, eggs and bacon, croissant sandwiches, Bagel sandwiches. It's a good looking spot with use that open up to the hotel pool. I had the egg tomato cheese ham croissant sandwich with a very nice spring mix salad and slice of pineapple.

Great place to have breakfast 😋 😊. No wait time. Great atmosphere. Chill music 🎶 in the background. Welcoming employees. Tasty and creative breakfast plates. Waffles 🧇, bacon 🥓, eggs 🍳, veggies, and fruits. You'll get there all you need. 4 stars due to lack dairy free milk. They do offer alternatives, but ... you already know. No lactose free milk in a coffee place is a no-no.

Cute coffee shop within a hotel . It is also accessible via stairs on the main street. The food ( ham and cheese on a croissant) was delicious. It came with a side salad, edible flower and a slice of pineapple. The coffee was nothing special. Flavor was underwhelming but at least it had nice latte art. No wifi. Good place for groups since lots of seating and there is ac!
