About
A Morning Ritual for Kaimuki Locals
If you are looking for a breakfast experience that feels like stepping into a friend’s kitchen, Harry's Cafe provides exactly that. Located right in the pulse of the Kaimuki district, this spot has built a reputation for serving no-nonsense, hearty comfort food that defines Honolulu island life.
The Kitchen’s Philosophy
The menu leans into local staples, with their corned beef hash being the undisputed heavy hitter. It arrives at the table crispy, golden, and steaming, accompanied by eggs cooked exactly to your preference. You won’t find overly complicated plating here; instead, the focus remains on generous portions that fuel a day of surfing or exploring Oahu. The scent of fresh, strong coffee wafts through the space the moment you step inside, cutting through the savory aroma of sizzling griddles.
The Setting
The atmosphere is bustling and unpretentious, defined by the clatter of silverware against ceramic plates and the hum of conversations between regulars who have been coming here for decades. It is the kind of place where space is at a premium and the seating is cozy, so expect a little shoulder-to-shoulder interaction with your neighbor. While parking in this part of town can be a bit of a hunt, the reward is a slice of authentic, old-school Honolulu dining that remains untouched by modern trends. Whether you are a solo traveler looking to mingle with residents or a local in need of a reliable morning meal, this cafe delivers a consistent, honest experience.

We arrived at 11:30 on a very rainy day thinking we would be turned away because they close at noon but they were so friendly and allowed us to come in. The service is fast and friendly. The food is amazing! I got a Christy’s omelette and often when I get omelette’s they can be dry and under seasoned but not here. Big portions and delicious. My husband got the loco moco. Also delicious. A friend of ours got the 3-3-3. This I think can serve 2-3 people. The pancakes alone were giant! So fluffy and flavorful. Consistently delicious across a bunch of dishes we tried, fast and friendly service, and big portions! Definitely give them a try if you’re looking for a filling breakfast.

I had the corned beef hash loco moco and it was delicious. You can tell they make it in house. You don’t find that much anymore. I didn’t have anything else on the menu but seeing what was coming out of the kitchen I can tell this is one of those places where everything will be tasty. I will be back for sure.

Great breakfast! The breakfast specials between 5-8am are good value, but lots of other great food. We really liked their fried rice, fluffy pancakes, and the home made corned beef loco moco. Street parking only but worth stopping by.
