Tough to find, enter on Royal Hawaiin street and go to the basement. Worth it!! Guy keeps the blades sharp to shave ice is feather like. Store is a hoot, the couple who runs it are fun. Shave ice is next level! Blue raspberry was the best. Ube ice cream was amazing. This one is definitely a hidden gem. Once people find out about it, the lines are going to be ridiculous.

My husband found this place and he kept raving about it. Finally I got to check them out and first of all, one of the kindest couple ever. Really took their time preparing our sweet treats. I was on lilikoi heaven, that’s how great and natural their home made flavors are. They deserve all the stars!! They’re a must try when you’re in Waikīkī!

Amazing experience at Haleiwa Town Shave Ice! 🍧🌺 Not only were the shave ice and ice cream absolutely delicious, but the shop itself is beautiful and full of amazing souvenirs and unique Hawaiian gifts. We were honestly surprised by how reasonable the prices were compared to many other stores in Hawaii. The atmosphere, flavors, and customer service made this place one of our favorite stops in Waikiki. Highly recommend it 1000%! 🌴✨

I've been to the Waikiki area a few times the past couple of years and Haleiwa Town Shave Ice is ALWAYS on my places to visit. The shave ice is always top notch. Chris even remembers us every time that we come back! That memory, the customer service and the fantastic product keep us coming back. We always get an adult large shave ice with either macadamia nut or vanilla ice cream as a base and whatever syrups we're feeling for the evening. The plan is to visit them every night that we're here! They have a good selection of ice cream and a great combination of house made and natural flavors for syrups. The shave ice is always very light and airy. A great snack after any meal.

It’s so delicious and the owners are very helpful and kind! So glad we made it here! I didn’t know where to start, so it was recommended to have the coconut and macadamia nut ice cream with shaved ice cream. I then got the homemade strawberry syrup, lychee, and passion fruit syrups. Amazing! We also recommend the natural mango syrup with the shaved ice and natural cherry and pineapple also with the shaved ice. Cute little gift store as well!

My boyfriend and I were looking for a good shaved ice place and found that this was one of the best rated places in town. Chris and Tomoko are very friendly owners and the best shaved ice we tried! We also had Island Vintage shave ice which was okay but had some large ice chunks. Haleiwa Town’s ice texture was way better as it was very fine and melted in your mouth perfectly! The first time we tried coconut macadamia nut ice cream with lilikoi, lychee, and mango with condensed milk on top. The second time we tried honeydew mochi ice cream with pineapple, yuzu, and coconut with condensed milk on top and added the li hing mui on top. We got the natural versions of all of the flavors a they were all delicious and still plenty sweet! We will definitely be coming back on our next trip!

It was our last day in Hawaii and we needed to find a shop to finally try shaved ice because we couldn’t leave without getting it. We stumbled upon a quaint shop in the lower level of the Wakiki shopping plaza. Chris was very personable and made the difficult decision of what to order (as someone who has never tried the delicacy) a breeze. His recommendations were so delicious, he’s very passionate about his craft and it shows. Mahalo for a wonderful experience, Chris :)))

I have been a big fan of Chris’ pineapple and chocolate cherry bowls since Aloha General Store, many years ago. I was both saddened and excited to learn he had left, but to open his own store in the heart of Waikiki! Definitely had to pay a visit!!! He and his wife are a powerhouse couple bringing aloha and good vibes from Haleiwa to the Waikiki Shopping Plaza! I cannot recommend them enough and anyone who visits them will surely feel the same. The natural sweeteners over the usual are such a refreshing and delicious change! Thank you Haleiwa Town Shave Ice for the memories, and well wishes to your new business adventure!

Perfect end to a perfect day! This place does shave ice right! The ice was super fine and fluffy, served local style with ice cream and cream on top. I really appreciated that they offer both traditional and house-made natural syrups with no food dyes and you can truly taste the difference. The vanilla ice cream goes with everything and the POG combo was a standout, and their natural flavors were so refreshing. The owners and staff were amazing and incredibly friendly, fun to talk to, and made the flavor picking process part of the experience. It’s tucked away in the basement level of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, which makes it a cool, peaceful escape from the bustle outside. Everything felt relaxed and genuine no rush, just good vibes, yummy ice, and great people. If you’re in Waikiki and want the real local shave ice experience, this spot should be at the top of your list!
