A Tropical Culinary Crossroads

Tucked away in the vibrant streets of Honolulu, Fusion Cafe at Dada serves as a bridge between traditional island ingredients and modern culinary techniques. The atmosphere leans into a laid-back, creative energy—the kind of place where locals linger over long lunches amidst the soft hum of ceiling fans and the clinking of glasses. It is an ideal spot for those who prefer their dining with a side of artistic flair rather than white-tablecloth formality.

Crafting the Pacific Palate

The kitchen prides itself on a menu that ignores culinary boundaries, often featuring fresh, locally sourced seafood prepared with a distinct twist. You will notice a heavy emphasis on vibrant, colorful plating that mirrors the lush environment of Hawaii. Their signature approach involves blending classic Hawaiian comfort food with bold, unexpected flavor profiles. Be prepared for the space to get lively; during peak hours, the ambient chatter can swell, giving the cafe a buzzy, communal feeling that defines the Honolulu urban dining scene.

The Dada Experience

While the aesthetic is intentionally eclectic, the service remains grounded and efficient. One thing to keep in mind: space is a premium commodity in this part of the city, so don't be surprised if your table feels cozy or the parking nearby requires a brief walk. It is a small price to pay for a menu that refuses to stay in a single lane. Whether you are craving a midday escape or a casual evening bite, this local haunt offers a refreshing departure from the usual tourist-heavy dining options found elsewhere in the city.

I've visited Fusion when they were in Kaimuki and I'm so glad to see they have a new home inside Salon DADA! Malie is fantastic as always, and takes great care of people. The food is delicious (💯 recommend the empanadas and wagyu burger), and the drinks go great with the food! Can't wait to try their brunch menu next!

This review is long due. Wanted to gatekeep this amazing cafe. It's actually inside Ala Moana Hotel, right before you get to the hotel gym. The cafe/bar was unassuming. I walked in for early breakfast. I was the only patron. Was greeted warmly and decided on Avacado Toast (dine in) and an Acai Bowl(to go) Omg..the avacado toast was probably one of the best with the warm sourdough bread. It's the warm and cold, the crust that's crunchy with the avacado mush...it was flavorful and satisfying. I bought the Acai Bowl for later and it was also beyond. The fruits are fresh and perfect match with the granola and honey. That combo made my day.

I came here twice during my stay at the Alamona Hotel. The ACAI BOWL is fresh fruit banana, berries, granola, nalo honey. It became a source of energy for the morning. I also had a dinner for JUMBO SHRIMP LINGUINE: Creamy tomato, toasted breadcrumb. All dishes feature locally made pasta from Onda Pasta in Kaimuki. The pasta is freshly made, hot, and has a lot of jumbo shrimp in it. However, there are shrimp shells, so eat carefully. The lady at the store greet me with smiles. The store was quite empty, so I was able to sit wherever I wanted, which was nice.

Their signature drink: Fushion Maple Latte with notes like nutty almost similar to toasted marshmallows taste bomb. Also tried their savory breakfast: Avocado Toast, really broke da mouth and mopped it minutes. Our barista, Rando is a super cool brah and made the experience a wonderful one. Definitely coming back for more.

The Chamber of Commerce Hawaii had a lunch meeting at Fusion last week and it was the perfect place to do business, eat great food, and connect with peers. The atmosphere was great - super cute, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff was so nice. Definitely looking forward to returning.

Loved this new cafe located in historic Kaimuki! Had our Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee there today and they put together come tables to accommodate our group. I had their multigrain (couscous) salad, which was fresh, full of veggies and the portion was satisfying. I also had a mango scone, which was a good end to my meal. The service was excellent and the water pitcher was replenished without being asked. I highly recommend stopping in for coffee, breakfast or lunch.

I frequent Kaimuki when visiting my family. We were originally heading to the Curb and found it was closed at 2pm. We searched up coffee on Google maps and saw this was open with good ratings. The decor is upscale, hip and fun. The coffee drinks were great and the wine dispensers reminded me of a Lisbon wine tasting shop. Will definitely come back here.

Stumbled across this small cafe while we were waiting for the parade. Amazing service. Girls were so friendly and made lovely recommendations. I had the almond milk matcha blueberry iced late, and my husband had the salted mochi iced coffee. Food was great too and amazing portions
