Food Truck Park Waikiki
About
Open-Air Flavor in the Heart of Waikiki
Finding a quick, unpretentious meal amidst the towering resorts of Honolulu can be a challenge, but this centralized food hub brings together a rotation of the island's best mobile kitchens. It captures the quintessential laid-back spirit of Oahu, where the salt air mingles with the scent of sizzling garlic shrimp and charred barbecue meats.
What to Expect
This is where you go when you want to skip the white tablecloths and formal reservations. The layout is simple: a collection of colorful trucks surrounding a casual seating area where locals and tourists rub elbows. It is an ideal spot for families or solo travelers looking to refuel after a morning of surfing at the nearby world-famous breaks. You will likely hear the hum of city traffic blending with upbeat island tunes drifting from the trucks, creating a high-energy, informal soundtrack for your lunch.
The Local Edge
The culinary offerings change frequently, but you can usually count on finding authentic Hawaiian staples, from massive plates of kalua pork to fresh poke bowls that highlight local catch. It is worth noting that while the food is top-tier, the shaded seating fills up rapidly during the mid-day rush. It is a fantastic opportunity to sample a variety of global cuisines—think Korean tacos or authentic shave ice—all in one convenient Honolulu location. Come prepared with a bit of patience for the queues, as the popularity of these trucks proves that some of the best flavors in Waikiki don't require a kitchen with walls.

Lots of food trucks, our favourite was definitely blue water shrimp- we had the Hawaiian bbq chicken and garlic shrimp combo with the dole whip in a pineapple. The lady was very friendly and efficient. Live music was great, he was such a kind man, he made a point of coming over to chat with the kids.

The food truck park was a great stop with tons of variety, making it easy for everyone in our group to find something they liked. It’s very casual and relaxed, and a convenient place to grab a meal while exploring the area. We ended up coming here about five times during our trip, which really says a lot. At night it comes to life with a fun, lively atmosphere, and while it can get busy and lines can be long, that just adds to the energy. It’s also a great spot for the whole family; there are plenty of options, and kids can easily find something they’ll enjoy. One thing to keep in mind is parking: there’s no official lot, so parking can be a bit tricky, but street parking is available if you’re able to find a spot. Overall, it was one of our favorite places to eat and definitely a must-stop if you’re in the area.
