Flair European Steak House
About
A Sophisticated Slice of Europe in Waikiki
Stepping into Flair European Steak House offers a sharp departure from the typical surf-and-turf joints lining the Honolulu coast. Located just steps from the bustle of the Waikiki strip, this kitchen prioritizes precision over kitsch. The room is anchored by dark wood finishes and a refined, quiet hum that makes it an ideal spot for those seeking an intimate dinner away from the loud beach crowds.
The Culinary Craft
Chef-driven plates define the menu here, with a heavy emphasis on classic European techniques applied to premium cuts of beef. The signature Chateaubriand is a standout, often carved tableside with a level of ceremony that feels like a nod to old-world hospitality. Unlike the casual grills nearby, the kitchen balances rich demi-glace reductions with seasonal, locally sourced produce, creating a bridge between continental tradition and island freshness.
The Sensory Experience
You’ll notice the faint, pleasant scent of hickory smoke and red wine reductions before you even reach your table. The lighting is dimmed to a low, amber glow, ensuring your focus remains on the plate. A notable quirk is the floor plan; the tables are quite close together, which adds a certain energy to the dining room but means your conversation might occasionally brush up against the neighbor's discussion about their day at Diamond Head.
Why Visit?
If you are a fan of dry-aged steaks served with heavy, complex sauces rather than just a simple compound butter, Flair hits the mark. It is tailored for couples celebrating milestones or business travelers tired of standard hotel dining. While the parking garage in the building can be a bit of a labyrinth to navigate, the effort is justified once the first course of escargot or truffle-infused mushroom velouté arrives.

Great happy hour. Drinks were good and pretty strong. The burger was delicious, fries had actual truffle, oysters were fresh, and fritto misto had a good mix. Definitely worth it for happy hour. Paid parking in the garage with validation but they dont validate if it is under 2 hours.

Came here for the first time with the reopen. The service was 3 hours long which is a bit extensive. We spent a long time waiting for food. They only offered still or sparkling water to the table when seated which originally charged each person $8.00 until we brought it up as a concern. They ran out of dessert except Gelato. My steak came at 1.75 hrs which tasted good but was salty. The potato puree was great. Overall they have a few kinks to sort out but staff were friendly.

Everything about this steakhouse was exceptional—from the attentive staff and welcoming management to the overall atmosphere, which struck the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The drinks were crafted beautifully, and every part of the meal exceeded expectations. I had the wagyu ribeye, and it was hands down the best steak I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Came here for a nice dinner with my husband. We got the escargot and beef tartar appetizer, both the crab spaghetti and truffle ravioli, the braised beef, and their filet mignon as well as some sides. VERY elegant atmosphere. The food was very well prepared and flavorful. My favorite was the crab spaghetti. It had nice chunks of crab and was so creamy and delicious! All the meat was well seasoned and so flavoful. Overall wonderful experience and highly recommend for a nice date night to treat yourself to.

This place has one of the best happy hour menus around. I especially love their oysters, truffle fries, and burger, plus they offer a great variety of cocktails. Since reopening, the food quality has improved even more than before. The staff is friendly, attentive, and provides excellent service. I highly recommend it whether you’re stopping by for happy hour or looking for a more upscale dining experience.

Love this place for happy hour. Will have a table for my birthday soon or special occasion. Javier and head bartender will are very attentive and gave us VIP service everything we've dined at the bar. Get the truffle fries and ask them to make you a cocktail. They are amazing. I forgot about the oysters... get those too if you can.

This is my new favorite steakhouse! This placed used to be Yaya's chophouse and I personally did not like it before but now it's a new restaurant and it's great! We started with the kale salad and truffle fries! Then had the NY Steak that was cooked to perfection and also seasoned well! For sides, we had the mash potatoes, truffle pasta, broccolini and mushrooms. Everything was so yummy. There is a parking structure and they validate parking. Definitely will be back!
