Earl's Kitchen and Bar
About
Modern Flavors in the Heart of Waikiki
Located right in the middle of the Royal Hawaiian Center, Earls Kitchen + Bar brings a sleek, high-energy dining experience to the bustling streets of Honolulu. The space is expansive, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass that blurs the line between the vibrant sidewalk energy and the polished, lounge-like interior. It is the kind of place where the clinking of cocktail glasses and the hum of conversation create a soundtrack perfect for a pre-shopping lunch or a sophisticated late-night dinner.
A Menu That Travels
The culinary philosophy here leans into a global approach, moving effortlessly from high-end sushi to comfort-forward plates. Their signature clam chowder—a fan favorite for its creamy, herb-forward depth—pairs perfectly with the spicy tuna press, a menu staple that highlights the kitchen's commitment to fresh, raw ingredients. If you are looking for something heartier, the steak frites demonstrate a mastery of the grill, delivering a char that contrasts beautifully with the thin, crispy fries.
The Experience
The atmosphere strikes a balance between professional polish and island casual. It’s ideal for groups who can’t decide on a single cuisine or those looking for a reliable spot for a business meeting that doesn't feel stifling. A minor tip for locals and visitors alike: the popularity of this spot means the dining room can get quite loud during peak Friday evenings, so be prepared to lean in when chatting with your table. Service is notably fast-paced, reflecting the energetic spirit of the surrounding Waikiki district. Whether you’re grabbing a craft cocktail at the long, marble-topped bar or securing a booth for a long dinner, Earls serves as a contemporary anchor in the local dining scene.

Our family had dinner at Earl's tonight for the first time, and it was outstanding from start to finish. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every part of the experience exceeded our expectations. What truly made the evening special, though, was our server, Natalia. Natalia was attentive, professional, and incredibly personable. She struck the perfect balance of making sure everything was taken care of while also taking the time to chat with our 10-year-old son and make him feel included in the experience. It's rare to find service that feels both polished and genuinely human, and Natalia delivered exactly that. This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time, and Natalia played a huge role in that. We'll absolutely be back, and we hope she's recognized for the fantastic job she does. Thank you, Natalia, and thank you, Earl's, for a memorable first visit!

We had a great experience at Earls Kitchen + Bar in Waikiki! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. A special shoutout to Sydney B., who made our visit even better. She was incredibly attentive, personable, and had fantastic recommendations. If you’re a calamari fanatic like us, I would highly recommend getting that. We ended up ordering some of our favorite entree dishes based on her suggestions. Her positive energy and friendly vibe made us feel well taken care of throughout the entire meal. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Waikiki!

The food here is fantastic, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was fun and elevated. We had the sea bass and salmon entrees along with truffle fries and lime and strawberry margaritas everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. Our favorite dish was the sea bass, the fish was flaky and delicious. Our server Maddie was very welcoming, friendly, and made our dining experience fun! We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and Maddie brought out a celebration dessert for us too! We will definitely be back.

Had an amazing dinner at Earls Kitchen + Bar in Waikīkī. The miso glazed sea bass was hands down the best fish dish I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and absolutely worth every penny. The cocktails were just as impressive, and every part of the meal exceeded expectations. The restaurant itself has a beautiful open-air atmosphere that perfectly fits the Waikīkī vibe, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a night out. Our waiter Nick was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about both the menu and drink selections. The combination of amazing food, great drinks, exceptional service by Nick, and a beautiful setting made this one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Hawaii. We’ll definitely be back!

What a great experience. The ambiance is truly incredible! It was clean and tidy. The staffs are pretty nice most especially Jessica M. She is so patient with us and certainly knows how to handle things. Knowledgeable and helpful as well. The food was excellent except for the cajun chicken on our salad, way too dry. Other than that the food that we order was amazing. You gotta check it out, The hype is pretty good.

Julio and Grace were amazing!! I love the ambiance here! Such a great way to spend a day, or evening. The food was so good I had to come back a second time. The first time I came here, I got the steak and sushi. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sushi was yummy! The second time I got the chicken Tacos, which were yummy and very filling and satisfying. Great vibes, great service! The pork dumplings were also SO GOOD!

Heard about this place from a friend, one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The food was on point, the atmosphere was amazing, and most importantly our server was perfect. Nick was hands down one of the best servers we have ever had at any restaurant. He was attentive, talkative, held great conversation, and overall was just the best of the best. He has a great demeanor and a one-of-a-kind personality, I would recommend him endlessly! We loved this place!

Best meal we have had in a long time since living in New Jersey. We had the tataki tuna app, truffle butter steak, miso sea bass, and coconut pie dessert. A+ presentations. Everything was fabulous, particularly the piece of sea bass was the best sea bass I have ever had, and it is my favorite fish. Buttery soft and delicious. Miso typically isn't my favorite but it was light and delicious. The coconut pie was also very lightly flavored, in a good way. Ellie G. was our server and she provided excellent service, timing the drinks and food perfectly. The drinks came out very fast. My husband got the old fashioned and a big wave beer, and I got the coconut cooler mocktail due to being pregnant. I wish I could've tried their cocktails because even the mocktail was delicious. Outstanding service, food, and vibe. 10/10

We truly want to thank them. As for the food, it exceeded our expectation. Every appetizer and main handled with care. We are in Hawaii for vacation and only have a few days here and already can’t wait to go back! Thank you again to Frankie and Kira for their patience and kindness even with our special seating and food requests. You guys are the best!

Fantastic restaurant right in the heart of kalakau ave near all the great shopping and such. The ambiance is incredible, neutral tones, lots of greenery, kind of reminds you of a restaurant in Tulum or Morocco. The service is top tier, your dining experience starts with complimentary champagne and everyone from the greeter who checks you in at the front, to the person who seats you, all the way to the waiter or waitress assigned to your table, everyone was attentive and friendly and the team went ALL OUT to recognize our birthday! The nicest touch was the hand written card they brought to our table. Very thoughtful! On to the food, it’s delicious! Highly recommend the calamari or the crab cake as a starter, for your main course you can’t go wrong with the truffle tortellini dish, it’s ring-shaped pasta filled with ricotta and spinach, served in a black truffle cream sauce with parmesan cheese and you can add shrimp or sirloin to really pack in some protein! If not that, the "Shrimp + Scallop Spaghettini" dish that features garlic jumbo shrimp, seared scallops, and a basil almond pesto sauce is a lovely main course as well, it’s packed with flavor! For dessert, we got their SMALL sized sticky toffee chocolate pudding and it was plenty enough for us two to share. The chocolate is very rich and has vanilla bean ice cream. Overall the service, the ambiance, the food were all great and the staff’s efficiency was also impressive. We arrived early, were quickly seated, served and done & We didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommend this eatery for dinner if you’re visiting Waikiki and want an upscale experience!
