Eagle Cafe
About
A Slice of Old-School Honolulu
If you find yourself wandering through the industrial-chic streets of Kaka'ako, the Eagle Cafe offers a grounded, no-nonsense escape from the area's polished high-rises. This spot isn't about white-tablecloth service; it’s about the clatter of ceramic plates, the rhythmic hum of a well-worn coffee machine, and the smell of griddled protein hitting a hot pan. It is a genuine neighborhood kitchen where regulars claim their stools before the morning rush fully sets in.
Authentic Island Comfort
The menu leans heavily into the local cravings that define island comfort food. Expect hearty portions that reflect the culinary heritage of Oahu, with signature preparations that prioritize satiety over pretension. The kitchen excels at traditional breakfast plates and lunch staples that pair perfectly with an iced coffee or a house-brewed tea. While you might occasionally have to hunt for a parking spot along the busy corridors of this urban district, the trade-off is a meal that feels like it was cooked in a friend’s home kitchen rather than a sterile restaurant line.
Why Locals Keep Coming Back
Eagle Cafe is perfect for those who value utility and flavor. It’s loud, busy, and carries a frantic energy during peak hours, but that’s precisely what makes it feel alive. The seating is intimate, sometimes feeling a bit tight when the lunch crowd peaks, but that just adds to the communal atmosphere. Whether you are grabbing a quick bite before exploring the nearby street art or looking for a reliable, unpretentious spot to fuel up for the day, this Kaka'ako fixture provides a straightforward, satisfying experience that stays true to the spirit of Honolulu dining.

The restaurant was clean and the live music was fantastic! The sever was okay but seemed overwhelmed. The food was not good. The picture was supposed to be Chopped Steak. The green beans were sour and the veggies mix was weird (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions,...). Definitely not your typical chopped steak.

It's been years since I've been to Eagle Café. It was a really nice experience. The atmosphere is clean and open. There is ample parking in the shopping complex lots. The food was generous and tasty. Everything we ate came quickly and looked and tasted good. I look forward to coming here more often.

I recently visited New Eagle Cafe in Honolulu and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. The menu has a great selection of items to choose from and the prices are reasonable. I especially enjoyed the oxtail soup, which had a rich flavor and was served with a generous portion. Overall, I would highly recommend New Eagle Cafe to anyone who is looking for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience.
