Chopchop Rotisserie
About
Island-Style Comfort at Chopchop Rotisserie
Stepping into Chopchop Rotisserie feels like a reprieve from the typical tourist pace of Honolulu. This isn’t your white-tablecloth establishment; it’s a bright, efficient hub dedicated to the craft of the slow-roast. The air carries the heavy, savory scent of rendered fat and garlic, a hallmark of their signature rotisserie chicken that spins behind the counter until the skin achieves that perfect, shatter-crisp texture.
The Rotisserie Philosophy
The kitchen team focuses on simplicity. The chicken is seasoned with local aromatics that lean into Hawaii’s diverse palate, offering a juiciness often lost in mass-produced poultry. It is the kind of meal that serves as the backbone for a quick lunch or a laid-back family dinner. While the menu is streamlined, the sides—often featuring fresh, seasonal vegetables sourced from nearby farms—provide the necessary crunch and color to balance the rich proteins.
What to Expect on Your Visit
Expect a bustling, high-energy environment during the midday rush. The seating is functional and clean, designed for those who want to eat well without the fuss of a long reservation process. A minor heads-up: during peak hours, the limited parking stalls in this section of Honolulu can get tight, so plan to arrive a few minutes early or consider a quick walk if you are staying in the nearby district. It’s an ideal stop for residents looking for a high-quality, protein-forward meal that feels like home cooking, elevated just enough to satisfy a discerning appetite.

We had the chop chop salad with chicken. It tasted great but they skimped on the chicken which is strange cuz it’s a rotisserie place. The beet soup was mediocre and oily. But look forward to trying their other salads and sides, it’s looks delicious in the display case!

My husband and I come here all the time, even just to sit and study next to an outlet and drink. The Specific Pacific pita is by far my favorite menu item. The staff is super friendly and service is fast. They've just opened, so they haven't yet reached their full potential and I can't wait to see it when they do!

The food is good, but very expensive for what you get. I ordered the lamb special with brussel sprouts for 18. What I got seemed more like a light meal than dinner. I had to eat something else later to fill up.
