2026 • Couples I don't understand all the 5 star reviews or complaints about tasteless food. Nice place, friendly waiter. Drinks were small, like a half glass of wine, little margaritas, watered down. Why do appetizers cost same as meals? The famous fried chicken legs were greasy and the "vegetables" in them were tasteless minced eggroll filling. Husband got mild pad thai tofu. Light on tofu but he enjoyed it. The other couple, who love very spicy food ordered two dishes. Restuarant should use a number system for degrees of spiciness. They tried to clarify, American hot, not thai hot, as a way to clarify. Their dishes were completely inedible. Waiter tried to say they have hotter. Who cares? One bite and they couldn't eat it. After much complaining they brought out a free scoop of ice cream. Finally my husband told the waiter to split the difference and take one meal off the bill. Owner never offered that. 4 people, one drink each, two left entire plates untouched, husband and I shared pad thai tofu for $130 before tip.

I got spice level "hot" of their Tom Yum when I had a bad cold and it was amazingly good! The spicy level was no joke and thats what I was looking for. The chicken in it was so moist and delicious. Highly recommend the Tom Yum if you have a cold etc. or if you are a Tom Yum fan. 😋

I used to say you can’t really mess up pad Thai……I was proven wrong. I’m not sure what exactly happened but they’ve either slid in some tofu to my chicken pad Thai or it was just some chewy, rubbery chicken. Either way was not good. I did do this as a carry out order so not sure if the experience would be different inside the restaurant.

Really good Thai food! I got the broccoli noodle with chicken and my husband got the pineapple fried race (fried race came in a pineapple)!! Highly recommend.

The food was family-style but I think you can order it individually too, very delicious. The servers were attentive and nice.

I loved this place! The food and service were top notch!! We ordered Thai garlic shrimp, sticky rice, pad Thai, mango sticky martini and Shirley Temple. Talking to the employees was such a great pleasure too.

Peaceful and beautiful atmosphere that recalls a bygone era. Absolutely wonderful. Our food came as ordered, Thai broccoli noodle stirfry with chicken and the Tom Yum soup with fish. I’m not sure if they use MSG, but the food had a depth of flavour that would indicate it. The stirfry was a bit oily, but all ingredients were well-prepared. The soup was on the sweet side, the fish tender and delicious. The only complaint is that there was a $5.50 charge for adding vegetables to the soup; those consisted of a few slices of carrots and stems of broccoli. I’d go back, though, for the ambiance of this Thai restaurant.

This continues to be our favorite Thai restaurant on island. I have been coming here for years-I mean a couple decades (or even a tad more). Being Thai, I'm pretty particular. I love all the decor and flavors of anything we order. It makes me feel like I'm in Thailand. We came last night on a Saturday evening with no reservations and despite there being a private event in the area we normally sit, we were seated immediately. They now have specials that are new to the restaurant as well as live music Friday and Saturday nights. I always order the same which is pad kee mao (still ordered), spring rolls vegetarian (still ordered), and panang curry but wanted to try something different. I ordered the khao soi and was not disappointed. I have tried others, albeit few Thai restaurants on island serve this, but I prefer Chiang Mai. I hope they incorporate this on the regular menu. I also tried the mango mai tai and it was delicious. The mr had massuman curry (hot and it was hot) which has always been his favorite. I think almost everyone that worked the floor came to our table multiple times to check on us. We felt very cared for. They have impeccable service and delicious food. The only drawback is looking for parking which is not on them but we'd park 100 miles away just to come here.

We were looking for seafood options and they had plenty on the menu. The food was delicious, especially the broth. They had interesting seats by the window. The owner was really sweet and helpful in choosing menu.

After days and nights of eating in tourist traps, Chiang Mai wad the closest to home food we got. We had a reservation though it wasn't busy when we arrived at 6 PM. We were greeted and seated promptly. I knew what to order already from reading their reviews. The food came in the exact order we had hoped for. The Larb Salad first, followed by the Tom Yum Soup, then the Entrees, and finally topped it off with Sticky Rice and Mango. We devoured everything! I would highly recommend Chiang Mai and will certainly be back. My kids said Island Vintage for breakfast and Chiang Mai for dinner. Thank You to Everyone at Chiang Mai!
