About
A Quick Escape in the Heart of Downtown Honolulu
Tucked away amidst the high-rises and bustle of the Bishop Street corridor, Burgers On Bishop serves as a reliable lunch-hour refuge for office workers and urban explorers alike. The atmosphere here is strictly utilitarian; you come for the efficiency and the quick-searing sizzle of the flat-top grill that permeates the air as soon as you step inside. It is the definition of a no-frills neighborhood staple where the focus remains squarely on the plate.
The Classic Grill Experience
The menu leans into tradition, featuring standard, well-executed American-style patties that prioritize flavor over experimental toppings. Expect the distinct aroma of toasted brioche buns and caramelized onions that often drifts out to the sidewalk, signaling to the downtown crowd that the kitchen is in full swing. Because this spot is positioned in the middle of a high-traffic professional zone, you might find that seating fills up rapidly around noon. The noise level can rise with the lunchtime rush, turning the small space into a lively, echoey hub of conversation.
Why Dine Here?
If you are navigating the Honolulu business district and need a substantial, straightforward meal, this is your spot. It is an ideal pick for those who value speed and consistency. While the proximity to major financial towers makes parking a challenge—you will likely be searching for a garage or a spot at a meter—the payoff is a hearty meal that holds its own against the city's more upscale dining options. It is not a place for a long, lingering candlelit dinner, but rather a functional, tasty stopover when you need a classic burger in the middle of a busy workday.

The burger patties on their main burgers are preformed patties. Not sure if they're frozen or not but they taste like it. Not made to order either they were in a warmer. Macaroni and cheese was mediocre on my burger. Fries were pretty good. They said their specialty burgers are handmade and seasoned and all that so I might change my rating if I go back and try one. Not quite sure why it has such a high rating. Too much marshmallow or whatever they put in the cookies, made them tough chewy. Limited menu as well

As their Open sign said, they're awesome! My teri burger was sadly only a 3.5 starer, but the wagyu burger and customer service easily bumps this place up to 5 stars. The puns were a good inclination as to how cool the people running this place are, but the food and ample parking in the back also make it worthwhile for a trip back. They also just started doing delivery Tuesday-Thursday (orders have to be in from 8:30-10:30am) to make it even more convenient to enjoy and easy to hit up the prime rib plates that look AMAZING.

So delicious! Great family atmosphere with a great family running it! We all tried different things, but only grabbed 2 pictures. Teri Burger and Doe A Deer burger. The Wave Fryders we're yummy as well and the owners were so incredibly welcoming. Stop by and you won't be disappointed for sure! Parking is a little tricky, but street parking is near.
