Elevated Melts in the Heart of Waikiki
Forget everything you know about basic toasted sandwiches. Located right in the vibrant core of Honolulu, B*tch Don't Grill My Cheese is rewriting the playbook on comfort food with a heavy dose of island attitude. This isn't your average lunch counter; it is a high-energy spot where the butter-to-bread ratio is treated with scientific precision. You will hear the sharp sizzle of sourdough hitting the plancha the moment you step through the door, accompanied by an eclectic playlist that keeps the atmosphere buzzing.
Crafting the Ultimate Crunch
The menu highlights experimental takes on the classic grilled cheese, utilizing locally sourced cheeses and artisan breads that hold up against their generous fillings. The star of the show remains their signature truffle-infused blend, a gooey masterpiece that pairs perfectly with the humid, salt-kissed air of Oahu. Every sandwich is pressed until the crust reaches a deep, mahogany gold, providing a crunch that resonates across the small dining space.
The Local Edge
If you are exploring the streets near Waikiki, expect a brisk, no-nonsense service model. Seating is limited and the space can get quite loud during the lunch rush, which only adds to the frenetic, authentic charm of the shop. It is the ideal pit stop for those who value flavor over formality. Pro tip: grab your order to-go and walk a few blocks toward the shoreline; eating one of their decadent, dripping melts while watching the Pacific swells is a quintessential local experience. Just keep an eye on your lunch—the local birds are as aggressive as the kitchen staff is creative.

The open-faced turkey sandwich at Murphy’s is pure comfort food. The turkey was incredibly tender and covered in rich, flavorful gravy alongside creamy mashed potatoes. Even the sides stood out—the roasted vegetables were warm and soft with just enough fresh crunch, and the sweet-tart cranberry sauce balanced the whole plate beautifully. A must-order.

Classic Irish pub felt like I was away from Hawaii for a moment. The bar from the bartender outfit (he was awsome almost felt like he was playing a role and quite well) and old timey register even beer selection it felt like a pub through and through. Also I had the Shepard pie, delicious only complaint I'm not entirely fond of mushrooms and they were whole, it's petty I know.

John was an awesome bartender with amazing recommendations. We ordered way more than we could consume, just because we had to try everything! Soup of the day: black-dyed peas and ham - stellar! Crab cakes - omg! And Shephard's Pie that made me want to reconsider my Graggy's recipe (God Bless her memory)!

Looking for a traditional Irish bar? You have now found home here! First thing you see is an amazing interior of crafted wood, high ceilings and the hum of a bustling atmosphere. I entered and the bar war full of patrons that seemed to all know each other. Striking up conversations with a stranger is no problem here. Next you will be greeted by a seasoned and professional staff member that knows everything about anything Murphy's. I had the open turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. Amazing! I went on a Friday, "Pie Day", so Mrs. Murphy's pies on the menu. The passion fruit cheese cake was divine! Thank you all for such an amazing experience!

Best downtown dinner spot ever! Murph is a genuine spirit and the staff are all amazing. I have never had bad service, food or libations here. I would tell friends from out of town to come eat here. It's where business deals are made, friends catching up, dates happen, and politicians shmooze. Never a dull moment here.

This is a great Irish pub on a busy corner in Oahu. The staff was attentive even with the crowd growing at 5pm on a Friday. The food was excellent and the two Snakebites that I ordered were on point. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a lively time at the bar and some delicious corned beef and cabbage anytime of the year.

I stop in any Irish/British pub that I come across, so I had to stop in here! Friendly service and awesome ole school pub decor. The Shepards pie is off the charts good, I ate the entire thing. Would call this a must stop if you are visiting the island, 10/10.

A great place for lunch whether it’s for business or pleasure. The help is genuinely pleasant to chat with and the food is fresh and delicious. Had the Shepherd’s pie and I highly recommend it. It was a delight to have gone there today. Pepe, my server, rocks !

Great place to get good food and great service. We went for lunch on a weekday and got there right when they opened at 11:00. Thank goodness we did because they filled up quick. It’s a testament to the quality of food and service here. I had the Irish burger and that blue cheese is gold! Additionally, the fries were some of the best I’ve had. A perfect amount of crisp. Whoever made those is the Picasso of fry making. So good!
