Bostons North End Pizza Bakery - 3506 Waialae Ave.
About
A Slice of Massachusetts in Kaimuki
When you crave the specific chew of a classic East Coast pie while wandering through the breezy streets of Honolulu, Boston's North End Pizza Bakery on Waialae Avenue serves as the ultimate destination. This isn't your typical thin-crust island offering; it leans into the heavy, hearty heritage of the North End, complete with bubbling cheese and a crust that balances crispness with a soft, doughy interior.
Authentic Pies and Baked Goods
The kitchen stays true to its roots, turning out classic pepperoni and specialty pies that feel like they were pulled straight from a Boston brick oven. Beyond the pizza, the aroma of garlic knots and fresh calzones fills the small, bustling space. The menu highlights a commitment to traditional preparation methods, ensuring the flavor profile remains distinct from the usual Hawaiian-style thin crusts found elsewhere in the city.
The Kaimuki Vibe
The interior is unpretentious and straightforward, catering to locals looking for a quick, satisfying bite rather than a fancy sit-down affair. You might find the seating a bit snug during the dinner rush, and parking along Waialae Avenue can occasionally challenge your patience, but the smell of roasted garlic and melting mozzarella makes the effort worth it. It is the perfect spot for families or solo diners who prioritize substance over ceremony. Whether you are grabbing a box to go before heading to the beach or pulling up a chair to watch the neighborhood rhythm flow by, this pizzeria maintains a reliable, salt-of-the-earth energy that fits perfectly into the Kaimuki food scene.

Stopped in for a slice during lunch hours. Good pizza, a little oily for my taste but nothing a napkin can’t fix. Mostly younger men working, vape on the counter, playing with tech decks and one comments to the group, “What are they standing there for?” My sister and I, the only people in the shop, were waiting for our slices in the oven. Laughs all around. Worth a stop if you’re craving a decent slice.

This is expect from a great pizza restaurant pizza is very fitting in a box loaded with great toppings. I believe this is probably the best pizza in Hawaii I would love it if I can get this pizza at a sports bar instead of just to go, but I got a great TV at all. Save some money buy beer and have a great pizza.

DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE AND DO NOT ORDER ON THEIR WEBSITE ! Back in the day, Boston Pizza was really good and fluffy. However, what really upset me was not just that the pizza was salty and oily, but also the customer service. First of all, my husband went online to place an order, and when he went to pick up the pizza, it was completely different from what he had ordered online. Somehow the website order was a Boston Pizza Special, but we picked our own ingredients. It was definitely not the Boston Special Pizza. My husband decided to drive all the way back to Kaimuki to explain the situation, but all they offered was a discount instead of making a new pizza for us. First of all, the pizza isn't cheap, and on top of that, we had to take the extra order, which meant we ended up paying for a new one. ( total of $80 something dollars). We definitely will not be ordering from them again. There are other places that are better than Boston Pizza and cheaper too. *There was definitely a glitch on their website, and they don't admit it* *READ THIS* response to BOSTON PIZZA* After seeing your business responses, you're telling me that I am "lassing out" on you-and said you wish that I am happy now? How unprofessional is that? That’s the reason why your company has negative reviews—customers complain about being treated rudely, etc. You also lied, claiming my husband admitted to being wrong. First of all, I was on the phone with my husband, so I heard everything. He also claimed that you pressured him into admitting fault. Anyway, we have been long-time customers of yours. We had nothing bad to say until this incident happened. If you don’t care about your customers, then shame on you!
