Boston Pizza (515 Pepeekeo St)
About
A Mainland Staple in the Heart of Hawaii Kai
Stepping into this local favorite in Honolulu feels like a comfortable transition from the island heat to a reliable, air-conditioned retreat. Located conveniently for those exploring the eastern shores, the space carries that familiar, high-energy bustle common to neighborhood gathering spots. It serves as an accessible landing pad for families looking for a quick bite after a day at Sandy Beach or busy professionals needing a hearty midweek meal.
What to Expect on the Menu
While the name leans into the classic deep-dish expectations, the kitchen here manages a wide variety of North American comfort foods. The signature pizzas are defined by their generous toppings and a crust that balances a satisfying crunch with a chewy core. You will hear the distinct sizzle of pans hitting the counters as orders head out, carrying the scent of melted mozzarella and seasoned tomato sauce throughout the dining room. Beyond the pies, the menu includes a range of pastas and wings that cater to the post-surf appetite.
Local Nuance
The space is built for groups, featuring plenty of booths that allow for easy conversation. Be aware that during the Friday night rush, the acoustic levels can spike, making it a lively, high-decibel environment rather than a spot for intimate whispers. Parking in this busy retail pocket can occasionally get tight, so plan for a short walk if you visit during peak dinner hours. It remains a straightforward, no-nonsense destination where the focus is entirely on getting a hot, filling meal onto the table without the fuss of fine dining.

Please take an employee day off and clean and sanitize your establishment. Please educate your employees on handwashing. Your fan blowing towards the customers is full dust. Your entire dining room area is being used as storage, with dusty old equipment. You can do better and your customers deserve a clean establishment. Mahalo!

For the amount of money I paid for the Hawaiian pizza,I ordered a whole pizza, I would not recommend this place. I couldn't see the ingredients even with a microscope! And on top of that, I gave the server's 15% tip for a take out order! Two orders, Pepperoni and Hawaiian Pizza $73 including 15% tip!

If you want good thin crust style pizza in Hawaii Kai, this is the place to go. I've noticed that the quality of the pizza very much depends on the crew thats working on that particular day or shift. The pizzas are usually consistent but at times it just has that perfect chew to the crust and at times its lacking. They typically have a special pizza of the day but I always zero in on the spinach garlic and big red. They heat the pizza for you but I opt to take I home and reheat it right before im ready to dig in.

I used to love coming here — the pizza was always hot, perfectly cooked, and ready to go, and the whole place had a good vibe. Lately it’s been different. Slices are rarely to never available, the wait is longer, and the pizza can be a bit soggy at times. It just doesn’t have that same energy or consistency that made it my go-to spot before. I’m hoping it finds its way back because it really was one of my favorites. 🍕

The pizzas are fabulous: crust is excellent, toppings great and not drowning in cheese...just the right amount. If you want more, order more. You could dine in, but it's basically take out, hencethe 1 star for atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful. They do pizza right. If you want great tasting pizza that's real food and not greasy slop, this is the place!

Bostons pizza is so tasty the pies are huge. Family of 6 we ate most of two pizzas. So delicious. The stage pepperoni was amazing. You know the pizza is good when they have discarded equipment in the dining room and nobody cares 😜
