Auntie Anne's (1450 Ala Moana Blvd. Space #1107 - Inline)
About
Golden Aromas at the Heart of Ala Moana
Walking through the bustling corridors of the Ala Moana Center, it is hard to miss the unmistakable scent of buttery, yeast-leavened dough drifting through the air. This spot serves as the quintessential quick stop for locals and visitors alike who find themselves navigating the massive open-air shopping destination in Honolulu.
Hand-Rolled Perfection
The crew here keeps things simple and tactile, rolling each pretzel by hand before tossing them into the oven until they achieve that signature golden-brown hue. Whether you are craving the classic Original Salted or looking for the sweet, cinnamon-sugar dusting that defines their most famous snack, the consistency remains reliable. These warm, chewy bites provide the perfect fuel for a long afternoon of browsing the nearby department stores.
The Quick Pit Stop
Because this location sits inside one of the busiest retail hubs in Hawaii, expect a bit of a queue during peak lunch hours or late weekend afternoons. It is a high-traffic area, so do not be surprised if you have to wait a moment to grab a lemonade or a piping hot pretzel cup. The atmosphere is fast-paced and casual—an ideal pick-me-up when you need something salty to power through the rest of your walk across the sprawling Kaka‘ako-adjacent property. If you catch them right as a fresh batch comes out, the slight crunch of the salt crystals against the soft, doughy interior makes for a genuine treat.

Opening hours Monday to sat 10 am to 7 pm Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Located in the food court of ala Moana shopping center this is just a food counter. There is a entrance from the car park. I love their mini pretzel dog.

Lazy employees that refuse to cook to order. They close at 6:00pm on Sundays and we were told the only items available were the pretzels that appeared to have light burn from sitting in their window heater all day with 20+ minutes left before closing. There’s an obvious issue when every other restaurant in the market has a line and this place doesn’t.

Ordered an almond pretzel today. It lacked an even distribution of almond topping and it fell apart when handled. And the taste was off. The staff tried to pass off the other bad almond pretzels on me. I refused. They are making fresh almonds pretzels. Hopefully these are up to the Aunt Anne’s standard.
