Amuse Wine Bar
About
A Wine-Centric Escape in Kaka‘ako
Positioned in the heart of Honolulu's trendy Kaka‘ako district, Amuse Wine Bar offers an elevated retreat from the city's usual clamor. Upon entering, the lighting dims, replaced by the warm, amber glow of backlit wine racks that stretch toward the ceiling. It is a space designed for slow evenings, where the clink of stemware and low-fi beats create a backdrop for intimate conversation.
Curated Pours and Artisanal Bites
The core of the experience here is the self-service wine stations. Using a prepaid card, you have the freedom to sample rare vintages or explore new-world varietals by the ounce. It takes the intimidation out of wine culture; you are the curator of your own flight. The menu leans into shared plates, with standout items like the truffle fries—perfumed with earthy aromatics—and charcuterie boards that highlight local cheeses and cured meats.
The Practical Side of the Experience
This spot attracts a mix of young professionals and couples looking for a sophisticated pre-dinner drink. Be mindful that the acoustics can get quite lively once the work-day rush settles in; it is an energetic space rather than a library-quiet lounge. Parking in the surrounding blocks can be a bit of a dance, so plan for a few minutes of circling if you are heading out on a busy Friday evening. If you appreciate a place where the glassware is polished and the staff knows their way around a complex red, this corner of Honolulu feels like a hidden, refined secret.

Such a great spot for happy hour! Perfect for girls night. Excellent wine and great service. I had two glasses of wine and split an order of fries and a little pizza with a friend. I spent around $35 (before tip). Also the vibe is perfect if you want something that feels a little bougie and elevated. Highly recommend!

Food is tasty, happy hour is probably best time to go. The wines were pretty tapped out and some of the taps were broken so it limited the experience. Parking is also easy and free in the garage (same as furniture store)

Good selection of wine that you can sample on machine taps, Good appetizers but a bit pricey. Good service and normally got ample parking. The Happy hour is awesome, u can get $50.00 put on your wine card to drink for $28.00. they also have happy hour food specials to choose from. They have beers, and different types of liquor. Live entertainment in certain evenings around 7.

Have been here for a evening out and my birthday 🎂. I absolutely love the atmosphere and setting, spacious for a wine bar ,great areas to take picz patio area, event space, and good wine. They could have more food options but we were in the wine bar and not the restaurant connected to it! I have have 80% if the appetizers menu and new your steak and not one th8ng was disappointing! A go to place as a regular now!!!!

We reserved 7 pm on a Friday and had no problem walking in a bit early. Unusually it was very quiet and we were the only guests for the first hour. I’m not sure why since the shareable food options were delicious and very reasonably priced. We tried the wonderful shrimp pinxo (fav), and the Korean fried chicken (yummy) and the potatoes also good but a lot of potatoes. Their wine and drink selection was inspired with a choice of vintage wines from around the world as well as a variety of specialty cocktails. The only negative was being the only ones there. Bonus: free parking garage below the restaurant.

I love coming here! I love the food and drinks! Wait staff are friendly and cool! Chef Cainan is the best dessert chef! Loved his Deconstructed Smores with handmade marshmallows! The apps I ordered tonight were flavorful and tasty!

An interesting place, they give you a card in which there is a limit of $ 32 and you can taste different wines, the cost of a glass is indicated on a small screen. Don't expect to pour a whole glass, it's just a tasting, in tasting you always try a little bit to feel the whole taste of the wine, an interesting experience. Unfortunately, the choice of food is not great and the portions are like in French restaurants, so go there full. The place is hidden on the second floor along with a furniture store, we went from the parking lot and found it quickly, it would not be clear from the street. The waiters are very nice.

We had an AMAZING server that made our girls night out the phenomenal! The entire staff was "all hands on deck" which was great to see and we were never lacking anything. We got drinks, appetizers, meals AND dessert.... everything was delicious. Smaller portions, so don't go there starving, but it was a great change from greasy foods you normally get at restaurants. Quiet atmosphere and such fun decor.

We were introduced by our friend who lives in the neighborhood, the wines are good and the drink menu is actually pretty extensive, they not only have wines, but beers, cocktails and stronger stuff. Food menu is quite nice and happy hour has some pretty good deals. I enjoyed playing with the self serve wine machines, and tried a couple of interesting whites and reds.
