A Modern Twist on Local Island Comfort

Steps away from the main drag of Waikiki, Aloha Table serves as a high-energy hub for those seeking the quintessential Hawaiian comfort dish: the Loco Moco. The atmosphere is undeniably upbeat, characterized by the rhythmic clatter of plates and the lively hum of travelers and locals sharing long tables. It feels less like a quiet retreat and more like the starting line for a night out in Honolulu.

The Culinary Craft

The kitchen is famous for its Premium Loco Moco. Forget the cafeteria versions; here, they use a high-quality Wagyu beef blend patty that arrives sizzling with a rich, house-made demi-glace. The yolk of the sunny-side-up egg runs into the rice, creating a creamy texture that anchors the savory punch of the beef. It is a hearty plate designed for big appetites.

The Honolulu Scene

Perched near the bustling intersection of the district, the open-air design invites the warm Pacific breeze inside, though you might find the street noise blends into the restaurant's pop-heavy playlist. It’s a tight, cozy space where your neighbors are close enough to hear their chatter, which adds to the communal, aloha spirit. While the proximity to major shopping centers means the nearby sidewalks stay crowded well into the evening, the reward is a quick path to some of the freshest garlic shrimp and savory beef dishes on the island. If you are hunting for an approachable, flavor-forward spot that captures the casual essence of modern Hawaiian dining without the stuffiness of resort-style service, this is your place.

We got appetizers here and the pineapple drink. Appetizers were very good and premium tasting - scallop poke was amazing and the garlic fries were delicious and unique. The main complaint is that the pineapple drink was not good - it was quite pricy (about $30 for the drink), but it tasted like there was no alcohol at all, and it was supposed to be a pina colada, but it just tasted like blended up pineapple (no coconut). It was a really disappointing drink for the price especially. The food we had was good though, the place looked nice, and the service was good.

Super cute restaurant! Would recommend making reservations. Service was great and fast. We tried the garlic shrimp appetizer, the Loco Moco and a Pineapple Pina Colada. All were very tasty!

Super cute hole in the wall with classic, tasty Hawaiian dishes and yummy drinks. Great great great staff - so friendly and accommodating. Awesome cost value ratio especially if you’re traveling in from out of town. This would be an awesome date spot.

I was in the mood for some brunch. I have been here before so I decided to return. The staff are all very helpful and kind. Several can speak Japanese also. The food is very delicious and I ordered the non alcoholic whole pina colada, the jerky and Loco Moco. It was all delicious. They have a lot of seating and many menu options to choose from. I highly recommend visiting if you are in Waikiki.

Aloha Table Waikiki is amazing. The food here is outstanding—everything we tried was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the loco moco. The Big Island Loco Burger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The Mochiko Fried Chicken looked pretty dry but surprisingly it had the perfect crunch and was tender and juicy inside. Another thing I would recommend is the Kalua pork nachos. The combination of crispy chips, savory pork, and melted cheese was next-level delicious. Great food, friendly service, and a fantastic atmosphere—this place is a must-visit in Waikiki.

A very pleasant experience, and truly the best Loco Moco I’ve ever tried. Highly recommend the garlic shrimp as well. Place can be busy, but service is quick, so we didnt have to wait long for a table of 8. We all loved our orders!

Excellent hostess, server and chef! I had the happy hour Spinach salad and Scallops Poke. We shared the edamame and pork nachos. These were appetizer sizes but plenty enough for me and my wife. All were excellent! The atmosphere has a friendly, local vibe. It’s a bistro style focused on high quality, well prepared dishes at reasonable prices. For drinks I had the blue Hawaiian and my wife had the aloha blonde beer (2!😂). Everything was 100% as expected except to pork nachos exceeded! The scallop poke had (I think) small caviar which really made it beyond expectation especially for the value. 100% recommended.

This restaurant was delicious and the service was amazing. We got the pulled pork nachos, spicy beef tacos, the Mahi Mahi tacos and the double cheese burger and it didn't disappoint. I also got a side of garlic rice.. If you're around I would definitely suggest trying it. It is a little bit pricey so if you're on a budget do keep this in mind.

This was a cute restaurant on the second floor that we stumbled upon walking. They had a great atmosphere with quick food service. Our service was friendly. 1. Taste of aloha sampler - everything on this plate was fresh and quality ingredients. The tomatoes were delicious, the shrimp was prepared well and fresh, and the only call out is that it does have the shell on the outside. Which you can choose to eat or remove. (4.5/5 🌟) 2. King Locomoco with garlic rice - this dish was delicious, but be prepared it's large. We probably should have ordered a size smaller. It is a heavier style dish, which is good for sharing. (5/5 🌟) I would recommend this place to anyone in the area who wants to try Hawaiian food.

The food was at best average. I have eaten at Aloha Table in Yokohama Japan and I can say that it's about the same. Average 'Hawaiian food' at reasonable prices. The tropical ice tea was basically just guava juice. However, the service in this place was atrocious. I think that the servers aren't paying enough attention to their customers. I shouldn't have to ask for water when I'm seated, I shouldn't have to wait 20 minutes after I finish eating with a dirty plate in front of me while other's around me are seen to. Pay attention to your customers!
