Aloha Lani Kosher Restauranta
About
A Tropical Kosher Haven in the Heart of Honolulu
Finding strictly kosher options amidst the lush scenery of Oahu can be a challenge, yet Aloha Lani Kosher Restauranta serves as a vital anchor for the local Jewish community and observant travelers alike. Located in the bustling urban landscape of Honolulu, this kitchen bridges the gap between traditional dietary requirements and the vibrant culinary spirit of the Pacific islands.
The Flavor Profile of Hawaii
The menu focuses on bringing authentic flavors to the table without compromising on kashrut standards. You will find staples like savory brisket and matzo ball soup sitting comfortably alongside Pacific-inspired grilled fish and fresh vegetable sides sourced from island farms. The kitchen staff is meticulous, ensuring that every plate emerging from the pass meets the rigorous expectations of their patrons.
Atmosphere and Local Nuance
Stepping inside, the air carries the faint, comforting aroma of slow-cooked meats and herbs. The dining room maintains a modest, clean aesthetic that prioritizes function, making it an ideal spot for a quiet weekday lunch or a communal Shabbat dinner. While the interior is focused on comfort, keep in mind that parking in this central district of Honolulu can be a bit of a puzzle during peak midday hours—it pays to arrive a few minutes early to secure a spot nearby.
Whether you are a local resident craving familiar tastes or a tourist looking for a reliable meal that respects your observance, the kitchen’s dedication to quality shines through in every bite. The background hum of chatter is often punctuated by the clatter of cutlery, creating a lively yet grounded setting that feels like a home away from home.

Five stars! To all those who complain about the price: please note, we ordered for two people for the Shabbat meal, and we're still eating the leftovers on Sunday—with four people! Chabad of Honolulu gives a lot of food—maybe even too much! 😄 Some of the dishes were Persian, but still so good! Plus, special bonus for pickled vegetables—so good! The staff at Chabad Honolulu is so fun!

Delicious food and very welcoming community! The restaurant is open seasonally and we happened to be in Hawaii the perfect time! You can tell there is a lot of thought put into this chabad to make it homey and friendly for all who visit

Located right on the outskirts of Waikiki in the Chabad House of Hawaii on the ground floor, this middle eastern restaurant serves great kosher food all day long. The Humus is WOW and the fresh pita bread is some of the best I've ever had. They have all of my favorites: chicken schnitzel, hamburgers and Its just great to be able to eat kosher meat here in Hawaii on a daily basis, I have yet to try their Tomahawk steak. Cant wait to go back.
