Aloha Lani Kosher Restaurant
About
A Taste of Tradition in the Pacific
Finding high-quality kosher dining in the heart of Waikiki can be a challenge, but Aloha Lani offers a welcome respite for locals and travelers alike. Positioned conveniently for those exploring the vibrant streets near the Pacific coast, this spot brings traditional Jewish culinary influences to the tropical backdrop of Honolulu. The dining room balances clean, minimalist aesthetics with a welcoming, communal spirit that makes it ideal for Shabbat dinners or travelers seeking a reliable meal that meets strict dietary guidelines.
Signature Flavors and Culinary Craft
The menu focuses on fresh ingredients, often incorporating a fusion approach that pays respect to kosher laws while leaning into the local palate. You will find hearty classics—think savory brisket and matzo ball soup—served alongside fresh, island-inspired sides. The kitchen prides itself on maintaining strict kashrut standards, ensuring every guest feels confident and cared for. You might hear the faint hum of an industrial espresso machine or the lively chatter of families planning their next island excursion, adding a layer of warmth to the dining experience.
What to Know Before You Visit
Because the restaurant serves as a central hub for the local Jewish community and observant tourists, it can get quite busy during holiday seasons or weekend evenings. Keep in mind that seating is modest; it is a cozy, no-frills environment where the focus remains entirely on the plate. Parking in this part of Honolulu is notoriously tight, so using a ride-share service or arriving early is a smart strategy to avoid frustration. Whether you are craving the comfort of home or exploring the unique culinary geography of the Hawaiian islands, Aloha Lani serves as a grounding, flavorful destination.

Five stars! To all those who complain about the price: please note, we ordered for two people for the Shabbat meal, and we're still eating the leftovers on Sunday—with four people! Chabad of Honolulu gives a lot of food—maybe even too much! 😄 Some of the dishes were Persian, but still so good! Plus, special bonus for pickled vegetables—so good! The staff at Chabad Honolulu is so fun!

Delicious food and very welcoming community! The restaurant is open seasonally and we happened to be in Hawaii the perfect time! You can tell there is a lot of thought put into this chabad to make it homey and friendly for all who visit

Located right on the outskirts of Waikiki in the Chabad House of Hawaii on the ground floor, this middle eastern restaurant serves great kosher food all day long. The Humus is WOW and the fresh pita bread is some of the best I've ever had. They have all of my favorites: chicken schnitzel, hamburgers and Its just great to be able to eat kosher meat here in Hawaii on a daily basis, I have yet to try their Tomahawk steak. Cant wait to go back.
