The two stars are almost entirely for Val behind the bar and the coconut margarita. Val was friendly, attentive and made one of the best coconut margaritas I’ve had in a long time. If I were reviewing only the bar experience, this would be a completely different review. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The salsa tasted like tomato water with almost no seasoning or depth of flavor. The tacos were equally underwhelming — bland, forgettable and lacking any real flavor. I kept waiting for something to stand out, but nothing ever did. I rarely leave negative reviews because I understand everyone can have an off day, but the food was simply not enjoyable. Even with the excellent service from Val and a fantastic cocktail, I wouldn’t return. There are too many great dining options in Honolulu to spend money on food this.

We love Aloha Amigos in Waikiki. The food is awesome and they can even alter dishes for your liking. Tequila shots every hour with the song tequila playing is fun. The service is great and everyone is friendly. But make no mistake, the bartender Ryan is the reason we keep coming back. He's the nicest and engaging bartender ever. He'll remember you and your drink and your food order and make you feel like you're in the inner circle.

Been there multiple times but they get better every time, and now it’s the best Mexican in Waikiki. The menu got updated lately for better again. Very nice and friendly staff.

We had wanted to try this restaurant for a long time, so we finally decided to visit for my birthday—and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is located on Kūhiō Avenue, just a short walk from the International Market Place, making it very convenient if you’re staying anywhere in Waikīkī. We spent the evening at the beach watching the sunset and then headed to Aloha Amigo for dinner. The food was amazing, with generous portions and reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and order the margarita pitcher—it’s huge and absolutely worth it! Our server was excellent: attentive, efficient, and very courteous throughout our visit. I ordered the birria tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The menu also offers plenty of pescatarian and vegetarian options. The ambiance and décor are charming, colorful, and inviting, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Restrooms are available in the courtyard hotel adjacent to the restaurant. Just ask your server for the key (a flip-flop-shaped keychain). Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Mexican food in Waikīkī.

I’ve never been so underwhelmed by food that I laughed because I was upset, lol. My fajitas tasted like McCormick seasoning packets, the cut of meat was not thinly sliced carne, but more like cubes of steak. The arroz rojo was not flavorful and the black beans were dry and sad looking. Our waiter, however, was so friendly and accommodating!!

Friendly staff, busy just like all over Waikīkī. The food was great. I had the oxtail birria noodles. I found it rich and flavorful. Great fusion dish. My wife had the chicken tacos if I had a complaint it would be the chicken was a bit too wet making the taco very soggy quick but the flavor was there. Food came out fast and hot. Overall great experience at a normal Waikīkī price.

We were driving back to the hotel and we saw this cute Mexican restaurant and decided to try. It was simply amazing. We were given tequila shots to start and ordered the Molcajete. It’s a must try place in waikiki!!!! U will enjoy the meal here.

We stepped in for a late afternoon snack, and this turned out to be an ideal spot to get away from the crazy foot traffic of Waikiki. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa; while the salsa was exceptional, the chips were unfortunately stale. Thankfully, the rest of the food completely made up for it. The Asian style taquitos appetizer was delicious, and we deeply enjoyed the Beer battered Mahi Mahi fish tacos. The Tequila Garlic Shrimp tacos were also a delight. Our server was wonderful, though he didn't know the happy hour specials offhand and had to retrieve a handout for us. Overall, a great experience.

I really liked this place. I went twice during my last visit. The staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. Their chips and variety of salsas were fresh and really good. Their tacos were really good, and their brunch Loco Moco was a good change from the other places I had been eating. It was easy to access from the Courtyard Marriott I was staying at as well which made it really convenient.
