A Modern Take on Honolulu Dining
Situated in the heart of Honolulu, ADEZ Steakhouse & Lounge brings a high-energy pulse to the local culinary scene. Stepping inside, you are greeted by the dim, moody glow of ambient lighting reflecting off polished surfaces—a sharp contrast to the bright tropical sun just outside the doors. The space manages to balance the intimacy of a classic steakhouse with the upbeat rhythm of a modern lounge, making it an ideal destination for late-night cocktails or a celebratory dinner.
The Culinary Focus
The kitchen centers its identity around high-quality cuts of beef, seared to develop a robust, savory crust. You will often smell the heavy scent of hardwood char and rosemary butter wafting from the kitchen as servers navigate the floor with sizzling platters. While the steak is the primary draw, the menu is bolstered by a selection of island-inspired sides that incorporate local produce, providing a subtle nod to our Hawaiian geography.
What to Expect
The energy here leans sophisticated but lively. It is the kind of spot where the music volume rises as the evening progresses, perfect for groups who prefer their dinner with a side of nightlife. A quick observation for guests: the lounge area can become quite packed on weekend evenings, creating a vibrant, social crush near the bar. Parking in this part of Honolulu can be a tight squeeze, so planning for a rideshare or checking local garage availability is a smart move before you head out. Whether you are looking for a firm sear on a ribeye or a craft cocktail to toast the end of a long work week, ADEZ offers a polished, rhythmic experience that stands out in the urban landscape.

The testing choice offered so much great food. Service was excellent, from the bar tender to our waiter. The owners also very personable. We came for our anniversary and they treated us very well. Try the AdEz drink. It really puts you at ease. The garlic rice and lamb lollipop were both fire.

On May 1st my friend and I had the chance to Celebrate my 50th Birthday at ADEZ. I had Googled it earlier and saw how beautiful the inside was, but TBH the pictures did this place NO JUSTICE! It was so much more pleasing in person. The Food and Drinks were amazing! Our server was such a delight and made our experience that much more enjoyable. We also met Adam and Ezekiel and learned alot about how their restaurant got started. He gave us a tour of the lounge and we were amazed!! This was the best Food experience we had in Honolulu, and we think about it all the time. Mahalo ADEZ!

The steaks was good tasty but a bit small. The steak warming iron was hot & fun with fire at the beginning. Steak Coulotte is small. The dinner music was lively up beat music high volume. Kinda very difficult to talk & listen. Good food eat, drink and dance 💃. Romantic setting but the music is up beat dancing.

Adez Steakhouse completely exceeded our expectations—this is not just dinner, it’s an experience. We were welcomed with a red carpet entrance that instantly gave VIP vibes—such a unique and memorable way to start the night. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported. The interior is absolutely stunning—the statue of an ox, ornate ceilings, a breathtaking chandelier, rich red tufted booths, and moody blue-purple lighting that creates an intimate, upscale atmosphere. Moreover, the bar was a stand-out. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, making the entire space feel luxurious and one-of-a-kind. We kicked things off with smooth, well-crafted drinks along with smoked meat, the Soup Trio Island, and a refreshing Watermelon Caprese salad. Everything was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. For our main, we shared the Tomahawk steak cooked medium rare—and it was absolutely amazing. It was served with a hot stone so we could finish cooking it to our liking with butter, oil, and garlic, which made the whole experience interactive and elevated. In addition, we had the light fluffy mashed potatoes and crispy Brussel Sprouts. The steak itself was tender, juicy, and full of flavor—you can really taste the quality. The extra shot drinks we tried—especially the Ube Colada, Tequila, and Adez Vietnamese Coffee—were incredibly smooth and such a fun addition to the experience. We ended the night on a sweet note with chantilly and butter mochi bites that literally melted in our mouths—such a perfect finish. After dinner, we explored the upstairs and outdoor areas of the restaurant, which are perfect for private dining, celebrations, or special gatherings. The spaces are just as beautiful as the main dining area and it adds another layer to the overall experience. What truly made the night unforgettable was the service. Our waitress was amazing—attentive, warm, and made us feel so well taken care of the entire evening. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Adam and Ezekiel, who were incredibly welcoming and passionate about what they’ve created here. That personal touch really sets Adez apart. Overall, Adez Steakhouse delivers on all levels—ambiance, food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend for date nights, celebrations, or when you want a full VIP dining experience.

We celebrated my wife here and couldn’t have picked a better place. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, the food was prepared beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked, and the staff delivered excellent service from start to finish. Everything came together seamlessly and made the celebration feel special. Highly recommend for an occasion that actually matters.

We visited on a slower evening and were pleasantly surprised by how family-friendly it was. Even though it might not seem like a spot for young kids at first glance, the staff was incredibly accommodating and welcoming to our two keiki, which made the experience comfortable and enjoyable for all of us. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere had a modern, updated city vibe that brought us right back to our visits to Boston—a fun change from what we’re used to. We’re already looking forward to coming back for a date night without the kids, as we imagine it’s even more relaxing when it’s busier. That said, we truly appreciated how thoughtful and kind the staff was to our family on this visit. We’ll definitely be back.

A surprising 3 floors of decadent decor-the top floor is designed like a private lush lounge with bookcases,, a fireplace & lounge chairs which makes you want to light up a cigar and drink a cocktail. Apparently you can book this floor for special events! The mid level is an open air patio that gives backyard BBQ vibes, great for casual dining, and the bottom level is has cozy & decadent dining booths & bar. Fun place for tasty drinks & pupus! Try the soup trio shots of chicken marungay (morianga), French onion & kabocha, and the steak, smoked steak & onions, & mushrooms which you carmelize on the hot stones, and perfectly sea salted caprese salad. We ended with the bite sized butter mochi & bite sized deconstructed fried chantilly cake. So yummm. Friendly & attentive staff, you can meet owner Adam as he frequently makes the rounds checking in with diners. Pro tip: street parking is non-existent so use the $8 valet parking on their side corner, or park across at Kapahulu shopping center and walk over (don’t be too obvious though 😜)
