Uncle Bo's Pupu Bar & Grill (66-111 Kamehameha Hwy Unit 101)

Uncle Bo’s never disappoints, living in Mililani it’s a quick drive down the hill to Haleiwa, food is Ono and I been there so many time this was the first time trying their HOBO desert that is a basket of warm taro beignets (fried taro doughnuts/beignets) served with vanilla ice cream. Was Ono and never know why we didn’t try it before, I love their fresh catch and today fish was marlin and I got it as always steamed Chinese style and I don’t normally like marlin and ate it when the fresh catch was monchong , the marlin was cooked perfectly and not over cooked and amazingly moist..

Nice quaint local restaurant that serves a large selection of pasta, pizza, salad, soup, seafood, and a couple of chicken and beef dishes as well. Decent Keiki menu and some good desserts. The portions are generous and well-priced. Good flavors for all of the pasta and seafood dishes we tried. Fast and friendly service. Street parking and several parking lots nearby.

Went here on apparently bingo night for some bites after snorkeling north shore, and got a few of the appetizers. The drinks looked incredible but I was very dehydrated and hungry so decided to hold off so can’t attest to how delicious they must’ve been, but the food was so good. I got a combo of the poke, uncle Bo’s dynamite shrimp, and nachos and all of them were so excellent that I got a box after getting full (for appetizers) and ate them hours later when I got home. Also sat outside on the small patio and it was very enjoyable.

Walked in this weekend for a table for two. Because we were starving and have always wanted to stop here since we live on the other side of the island, we rarely stop here on the North shore for food. Stood there for about 5 minutes with multiple workers walking past and noone at least saying hello or someone will be right with us. When a lady finally approached and asked "Is there something I can help you with?"... Ummm What? I walked into a restaurant... that means I would like food. It was not a proper way to greet someone but anyways... I said I'd like a table for two and sit on the patio if possible. Then she said, we'll we cant serve you if you have outside food or drink. My wife had a coffee from next door and it had a cover. I would completely understand if it was shave ice cause thats completely messy... I attached a pic of the drink. Then she said can you finish it real quick and Ill seat you and I told her no we are good. We left. Never to return and took our money elsewhere. I was highly disappointed in this small business treating us that way. That lady was just a very poor choice for the front of the business. Poor attitude. Grumpy face. Zero appreciation for potential customers.

Great service. The food was very tasty and well portioned. Excellent plating, very appealing to the eye. The drinks are poured nicely as well. My party had boca-rota, dynamite shrimp, chicken pesto pasta, chicken picatta, seafood pasta, Caesar salad, and crab cakes. All were enjoyed and highly recommended. Except, one dish, is variable - the spaghetti meatballs. Tonight, marinara was a little bland but the meatballs were good and super huge. Ill be back to try more of the menu.

This is such a nice little laid back place. My husband stumbled in here 4 years ago on a business trip to Hawaii and didn’t finish his meal. For the last 4 years he’s been raving about their luau pork fried rice - non stop. He’s recommended it to basically anyone who will listen and I had a lot of hype and expectation for this place. It lived up to it. The fried rice was such a comfort dish after a visit to sharks cove and sunbathing the day away. The two of us couldn’t eat the whole pork fried rice, it was so much food! I also had a pain killer which was one of their happy hour drinks and it was so good. Made with fresh pineapple juice and a strong pour! Definitely worth the price. Staff was super nice and we’ve been told by others who’ve visited that the nachos are even better than the fried rice. Hard to believe but I guess we have to visit again!

Walked in by happenstance and I’m so glad we did. We ordered the crab cake-eggs Benedict, the grilled fish sandwich, the shrimp appetizer, and the most delicious ube beignets! Everything was a 10/10, including the $6 Bloody Marys. The service was phenomenal. Absolutely will come again

The appetizers had more flavor then my actual dish. The ladies were nice and kind! But the food was iffy.

We had a lovely HH experience at Uncle Bo's! We got in right in time for Happy Hour, which runs every day from 2-6pm. Within HH, we got: -(Many) Kirin Drafts - $6 each -Bartender's Cocktails - $8 each -Kalua Pig Slider (on taro bun) - $5 Everything was delicious, and we also partook in bingo night! Nice local-and-tourist-friendly vibe, with great service. Would definitely recommend.

In a recent family dinner at Uncle Bo’s, we were pleasantly surprised by the menu’s notable changes. While local pupus were still available, the entrees had undergone a significant transformation. The majority of the available dishes were Italian-inspired pasta dishes. We opted for the fried calamari pupu, which remained similar to what we had before. The rest of our dinner consisted of pasta dishes, including chicken marsala, chicken piccata, chicken Alfredo, and Uncle Bo’s Seafood Catch. The chicken marsala resembled linguine with brown gravy, mushrooms, and asparagus, and not a chicken marsala dish that I’m traditionally used to. The chicken piccata and chicken Alfredo lacked flavor, and the sauces appeared diluted. All the white sauces tasted the same , bland and watered down. The seafood catch was okay. There was nothing local offered as an entree, and the whole menu seemed revamped and wish I could say it was for the better. For dessert, we indulged in the warm fudged brownie à la mode and fried ice cream, both of which were excessively sweet due to their generous toppings of whipped cream. The highlight of our family's Sunday dinner was the bingo night, which provided an enjoyable and lively atmosphere.
