Poke For The People

If I could give this place 12 stars I would. This is the best poke ive ever had; it literally just melted in my mouth. My husband is gluten free and was really appreciative that he had options here. The server was really helpful with celiac too and knew exactly what he could have and couldn't. I want to buy a plane ticket just to come back and eat here!

My husband and I ate here and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it. The staff was friendly and the menu was easy to understand. We really enjoyed that the poke included crab salad and a couple additional toppings. We ate outside to enjoy the weather and would highly recommend if you are on the North Shore!

Absolutely delicious — a must-stop place Poke the People has the BEST kalbi short ribs — unbelievably tender, sweet, and packed with flavor. So tasty, I forgot to take a picture. They were served with a scoop of rice and mac salad, and the whole plate was just perfection. Honestly, it was so good I could eat this every week if I lived here. The Poke bowls were very fresh and tasty another must try. Everyone was friendly, the service was quick, and the food came out hot and fresh. We’re already talking about coming back, and when we do, this will be the first place I go. Highly recommend!

👥 1 pax on Friday @ noon 🍽️ 2 Choice Poke Bowl 💵 approx. $20 Friendly staff, solid flavours (had the wasabi masago ahi as recommended by the staff + shoyu ahi), and plenty of seating available indoors. There was a small queue but service was swift. The bowl itself was quite heavy with plenty of volume, though more from all the additional toppings rather than the poke itself. I enjoyed it more like a salad than a classic poke bowl, with a variety of textures and flavours.

Absolutely one of the best poke spots on the North Shore! 🌺🔥 Fresh fish, bold flavors, generous portions, and everything tasted super fresh. The staff had such a welcoming aloha vibe and made us feel right at home. The poke was packed with flavor and you can really tell they care about quality ingredients. Perfect stop after the beach or exploring Haleiwa 🤙

Poke for the People is amazing! The fish is super fresh, the bowls are packed with flavor, and the portions are perfect. The staff is friendly, the vibes are laid-back, and it’s such a great spot to grab something delicious and quick on Oʻahu. Definitely a must-try!

Best spot so far on this trip to Hawaii. We were going to save tummy space for other foods in North Shore but wisely decided to double up on the bowls instead of sharing one. I likes spicy tuna but the version here is meh as it was mushy paste and not solid chunks that I prefer. But, still delicious. The sesame onion ahi was AMAZING. Limu imamona ahi (i.e., with nuts) was good too. Fish is SUPER fresh. Did not detect any sinewy pieces. On the included two sides,I really recommend the sweet potato. Mashed well and the potatoey flavor comes across softly. One of our bowls used a salad base--nothing particular with the lettuces/leaves. They provide the dressing on side. We selected the creamy sesame which is a nice contrast to the flavored fish. Rice on the other bowl was perfectly cooked. This restaurant is a great way to insert some grubbing between the dole whip dessert earlier at the Dole Plantation and the next item (shaved ice) down the block from this spot!

Must visit Poke restaurant in the North Shore. Excellent Poke, super friendly staff and overall great experience. Got the Shoyu Ahi and Hamachi 2 choice poke bowl salad with seaweed and pickled cucumber. Shoyu Ahi is the recommendation from others’ reviews and well-earned. Tender, flavourful with a good portion. Hamachi with sesame special was also excellent. Special call out to the cucumber salad (namasu?). Great crunch still on thinly sliced cucumber with a touch of acidity and sweetness. To anyone looking for the “Goma”. It is discontinued as the manufacturer for the “secrets ingredient” stopped making that particular item. They are for a substitute but Goma is off the menu for now. Super friendly staff, really made the experience lovely. Parking in the back, don’t park out front like a jerk please.

Possibly the best poke I’ve ever had. They also had everything marked gluten free which was perfect for me. I got to have gf seaweed salad which is rare! I had the wasabi masago ahi as my protein, and the flavor was unreal. Even had gluten free soy sauce! Would recommend anyone coming here! You can tell by the line and steady stream of people that this place is awesome.

Poke for the People is hands down the best poke spot ever! The fish is always super fresh, the flavors are amazing, and the portions are generous. Every bowl tastes like it’s made with love — truly my favorite place to eat poke! If you love poke, this place is a must-try! 🐟💛 You have to find parking on a street or somewhere but it’s always easy to find a spot.
