Zippy's - Waipahu (Farrington Hwy)

This was my first time at this location. Lots of parking, good selection of foods, fast service, clean establishment, not too noisy at the time we went.

I have tried to give them a chance to recover twice. 3 times in the last month, I needed to get my money back, wrong food no food or 30 minute wait for 1plate. The manager didn't care about a cancellation due to employees failures. DO NOT DINE here. They don't care about the orders they won't care about cleaniness. Leeward drive-in is way better

I went to waipahu on 5/30. Walk in & stood in line with my 2 kids. When the worker was finished taking the order in front of me she looked at the lady BEHIND me to say how can help you as if I was invisible. She took that ladies order and told me I'll be right with you. The wait to order was already going on 15 mins. Then I see her help another lady who just walked in at the bakery while I'm still waiting. I was pissed that she took 2 orders who came in after me. I finally order my 2 fundraiser chili's & couple donuts. Tell me why the orders that was taken got it way before me? Chili is already made and so was my donuts. So why did it take me almost 45 mins from start to end? I would've totally understood if they were short staffed but to take 2 other orders while I've been standing there is wild. I love zippys and always support but customer service there sucks.

Staff are welcoming and helpful! Food is always top tier. If you feel overwhelmed about whether your food is ready for pick up or if the order was placed correctly, just talk to the staff and they will help. Trust me, I’ve done it a couple times when I have to pick up my mom’s food.

A Hawaiian restaurant chain similar to Denny's & the like. Varied menu with many local favorites. This is a breakfast ,lunch & dinner spot complete with on site bakery. Zippy's is known for their award winning chili. The wait staff are attentive & friendly. Prices are reasonable by Hawaii standards. Stop in and give them a try if you have never been. Happy dining.

🌺 Zippy’s Waipahu – Service by Ate May 🌺 Ho da service from Ate May was straight on point – fast kine, quick quick, no make us wait, and she still wen give us da family vibe like we was eating at aunty’s hale. Da Korean Fried Chicken? Ono to da max – and she wen hook us up wit extra sauce (must-try, no skip dat). My lil one wen crush her Keiki saimin like was da best ting eva, while my Unko wen go HAM on da drumsticks, licking da bones clean 🤣. I wen grab one Lilikoi refresher and brah… perfect aftah da long flight from Seattle. Taste like pure Hawai‘i sunshine in a cup, quenched all da thirst. This da kine tradition – when you land back home, you gotta hit Zippy’s. Da aloha, da food, da vibe – it’s all here. Ate May wen make us feel right at home, smiling, attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. 💯 Pro tip: eat slow, savor every bite, cuz you not gonna find dis kine grindz anywhere else. And oh shootz – no forget stop by Napoleon’s Bakery on da way out. Grab one pastry or two fo’ da ride home. No sleep on dem, k? Big mahaloz Ate May – you da real MVP 🌺🙌 Cheehuuu!! It’s Zippy’s. We got the café service (counter ordering, sear yourself) and the speed of service was good, efficient. Pretty decent coffee—all of the other food I’d avoid for health reasons (obesity is already rampant here, why add to the situation).

Ordered delivery from this location because UE didn't have our Zippy's as an option. Food arrived earlier than estimated. Korean Chicken Salad was really good and so was the SurfPac Deluxe, except the two pieces of chicken were on the dry side. All good, it happens.

My husband is traveling for work and spending time in Hawaii right now. He recently tried this restaurant for breakfast. The atmosphere was great! The restaurant is clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. My husband got the Breakfast Bento box with spam and corned beef. He said it was great! If you’re looking for a place to try something a little more authentic, you definitely want to check this place out.
