Tiano's Restaurant (94-358 Hanawai Cir)
About
A Taste of Home in the Heart of Waipahu
When you turn off the main drag and pull into the industrial-adjacent pockets of Waipahu, Tiano's Restaurant serves as a humble anchor for those seeking authentic Filipino comfort food. This isn't a place for white-tablecloth pretense; it is a spot where the clatter of silverware against melamine plates and the constant hum of conversation create a familiar, lived-in soundtrack. The air inside is perpetually perfumed with the savory, garlicky scent of simmering adobo and the sharp, bright notes of vinegar-based sauces.
Signature Staples
Chef-driven menus are common elsewhere, but here, the kitchen focuses on consistency. Their approach to traditional Filipino staples keeps the lunch crowd coming back. You will find hefty portions of crispy pata and pancit that arrive steaming at your table. It is the kind of cooking that prioritizes soul over presentation—expect generous scoops of white rice and stews that have been bubbling since early morning.
What to Expect
This is a functional dining room, perfect for a quick workday lunch or a low-key dinner with family. Keep in mind that the parking lot can get congested during peak afternoon hours as local workers filter in, so you might need to hunt for a spot nearby. The staff moves with a practiced speed that matches the no-nonsense energy of the Waipahu neighborhood. It is best suited for diners who value a hearty, filling meal over a curated dining aesthetic. Whether you are looking for a reliable plate of dinuguan or just want to grab a takeout container to enjoy by the water, Tiano's keeps things straightforward and strictly focused on the plate.

Food was delicious! We ordered the fried calamari and lumpia starters, Definitely worth trying. All three of us orders the Lechon with a sisig on the side to share. The lechon was delicious. Nothing was left on the plates (to include the vinegar 😋). If we had one of these restaurants on the Big Island I’d be eating here at least once a week.

Located in the Kunia shopping center across from Bank of Hawaii, passed by this restaurant many times but finally got the chance to eat here since we had an impromptu holiday luncheon here👍 Parking is tough during lunchtime but theres parking across the way by Jack in the Box. This place is also BYOB, so bring a cooler and your fave refreshments too. Empty when we arrived when it opened but it quickly filled up. Known for their prime rib and huge portions of local and Filipino food; I opted for a lighter lunch choice, the Tianis Trio which i ended up taking half of it home. Food was excellent and enjoyed by all but water refills were lacking though maybe since out group brought beers? Was stuck in the corner so couldnt flag down a waiter for a water refill. Other than that, a great place to come when youre really hungry... 4 stars.

Best American, local and Filipino food. The food are cooked with great care to perfection no matter which plate you'll order. They are tasty, we'll-seasoned, beautiful presentation and the serving sizes are big enough to share. You can get the best bang for your buck here. The service is excellent, they make sure you are attended to and satisfied with your meal. I can honestly say that this is the place where I take my out of town quests and my go to restaurant as they never fail to deliver in service and yummy food.
