Insider Dining & Tips
Olowalu General Store is not a traditional sit-down restaurant, so forget about reservations—this is a true grab-and-go experience. Because of its legendary status, it can get incredibly busy, especially around mid-day. Pro Tip: Try to stop by before 11:30 AM or after 1:30 PM to avoid the heaviest lunch rush. While there isn't a dedicated dining room, the surrounding Olowalu area offers plenty of beautiful spots nearby to enjoy your meal with a view of the Pacific.

Afternoon snack
Stopped in for a hotdog and chili rice bowl. Was good but just average lots of hype on line but would make a special trip. But would stop in if you’re passing.

Hot dogs are definitely worth a try.

Wanted to take a friend on a Sunday drive to the Olowalu General Store.
Love historic buildings and friendly staff. We went for the red hot dogs but the tourists were there for the local food and the local gifts.
This is a genuine family operated General Store and open since 1932. You can find local food products and candy plus betel nuts and other South Pacific favorite. From poke bowls to chilli bowls. It can be very busy . Free parking and wonderful local style aloha.
