About
A Refreshing Escape on Front Street
Stepping away from the heat of the West Maui sun into Teazentea is an instant cooling ritual. Located right in the heart of the Lahaina historic district, this local favorite serves as a dedicated sanctuary for bubble tea enthusiasts and those simply looking for a crisp, chilled beverage while walking near the harbor.
The Art of the Craft
The shop focuses on the precision of Taiwanese tea culture. Whether you order the classic milk tea, which balances the earthy bitterness of high-quality tea leaves with a creamy, smooth finish, or one of their vibrant fruit-infused iced teas, you can expect consistency. The tapioca pearls—or boba—are cooked to a precise, chewy texture, often called 'QQ' in Taiwan, providing that satisfying resistance against the sweetened, flavored tea.
You will notice the scent of freshly brewed oolong and jasmine hitting you the moment the door swings open. It is a no-frills, efficient space that prioritizes the quality of the drink over complex decor. One thing to keep in mind is that the space is compact, so it is better suited for grabbing a drink to-go before heading toward the Banyan Tree rather than settling in for a long laptop session.
Why Locals and Tourists Stop By
The menu caters to those who enjoy customizing their sugar levels and ice amounts, a hallmark of authentic bubble tea houses. The Taro Milk Tea remains a standout, offering a distinct, earthy sweetness and a signature lavender hue that makes for a perfect photo against the backdrop of Maui’s coastal charm. It is a genuine, straightforward slice of refreshment that fits perfectly into a day spent exploring the shops and galleries of Lahaina.

I actually really like this place but they are temporarily closed but you can still “order” on Uber. They take my money but I don’t get an order because it’s closed. Very frustrating. Edit: Changing to 5 stars because the product is great and customer service is amazing. After pointing out the issue they responded and fixed the issue.

I absolutely love this tea shop. the boba is the best on the island and it’s always perfect. I’m normally not a boba person, but this is the one place I crave. the staff is wonderful, and sophia deserves a special shoutout she is so sweet and makes every visit better!! couldn’t recommend this place more

Great boba, drinks are good but could be better! Prices are a touch high, but understandable. I ordered the creme brulee Thai tea (tiger) and my partner had lychee green tea. For the lychee green tea, there was no lychee taste 😔 I loved the Thai tea, but the creme brulee was definitely not standard. They added some cream to it and it accumulated at the bottom. I definitely enjoyed the drink a lot before I hit the bottom! If I come back I'd probably try a standard milk tea with boba. The hours outside say closing st 5pm, but they kept taking orders past that time.
