Sea House Restaurant
About
A Front-Row Seat to the Pacific
Stepping into Sea House Restaurant feels less like walking into a dining room and more like stepping onto the deck of a ship anchored in Napili Bay. The walls are largely glass, ensuring that even if you don't snag one of the coveted outdoor tables, the rhythmic crashing of the surf provides a constant, meditative soundtrack to your meal. It is a quintessential West Maui experience where the salt air mingles with the scent of searing macadamia-crusted fish.
Island Flavors and Local Roots
Under the guidance of Chef Alex Stanislaw, the menu leans heavily into Hawaiian regional cuisine. You will find staples like the Maui onion soup—a savory, deep-flavored bowl that holds its own against the sweeping ocean views—and the fresh catch of the day, which often comes straight from the local fishing boats. The preparation is classic, letting the quality of the ahi and ono speak for itself without excessive fuss. The breakfast service is equally famous, particularly the banana macadamia nut pancakes which arrive steaming and golden, perfect for a slow morning watching sea turtles break the surface of the bay just a few yards away.
The Lay of the Land
This is not a spot for a quick bite. The pace here is dictated by the island sun. While the atmosphere is relaxed, be prepared for the reality of high-demand oceanfront dining: parking in the Napili Kai resort area can be a bit of a puzzle during peak hours, and the open-air design means you should be ready for a light breeze to flutter your napkins. It is the perfect destination for those looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply soak in the North Shore vibe away from the busier, more tourist-heavy stretches of Lahaina. Whether you are leaning into a sunset cocktail or a quiet breakfast, the focus remains entirely on the horizon.

Wow what a view. This was a fantastic dinner with an incredible sunset. The food was excellent, Drinks were great and service was outstanding. We didn’t have reservations but wanted to sit at the bar anyway. Waited less than 10 minutes. Hostess was kind and this was my favorite meal of the week!

Solid restaurant with superb location right next to the bay! We came here after experiencing the death highway drive so the food tasted extra good! The food was awesome as well. Get the coconut shrimp!

From the servers to the food, the atmosphere this place is top notch. I dare any one of you to try and find a place with a better view than this… You will fail. The happy hour was quite happy. Handhelds and shareable's for all. No gimmicks. Jerry was particularly great at what she does.

This place is absolutely amazing. The view is awesome. Food was delicious. We originally went to gazebo but the wait was at least an hour there really is no reason to go to that restaurant when this one is just one mile up the road. Highly recommend. Zero wait time.

Super friendly bar staff. We went mostly for Happy Hour with the fantastic appetizers and great cocktails. WE loved sitting at the bar looking at the beach or having breakfast on the patio. The breakfast menu was awesome!

The absolute best meal we had on our trip to Maui! We had appetizers, entrees, and dessert and everything was amazing! The sweet onion soup was a highlight, and the basil pesto crusted monchong is one of the best things I've ever tasted. I also tried some of the bread pudding and it was incredible. The other members of our party also loved their meals. We talked about it all week how it was the best meal we had on our trip! Will definitely return if back in the area!

Came for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. My wife ordered the Haleakala pancake and I ordered the short stack with banana and macadamia nuts. We're not huge pancake eaters, normally. But, we had to try them. Delicious! Finished them with a mimosa. The morning view over Napil Bay was gorgeous!

Our waiter, Craig, was fantastic! Very attentive, funny, and professional! Food was great! Had some beef sliders with pulled pork and coleslaw. Wife had seared Ahi tuna. Others had calamari, coconut shrimp, BBQ wings. Drinks were fabulous after an afternoon of snorkeling in the bay!

Great experience last night at the Sea House. We came about 445 hoping to catch a seat at the bar for the 530-6pm meal deal.... They said about an hr or two for a seat as reservations had the entire place booked. Grabbed a couple cocktails and went and sat in the beautiful waiting area. Started drinking our drinks and they called us by 515.... 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Looked over the menu once seated and my gf ended up going with the filet and lobster Sunday special...Great price and quality meal!!!!! I wasn't that hungry because the drinks were fantastic so I just opted for the Napili Kai Shrimp... FANTASTIC!!!! Creamy and spicy sauce over the shrimp on a toasted bread. 4 big pieces definitely a good option! The bar service was fantastic, very attentive and made sure everyone was getting the attention for drinks and their meals. 10/10 would definitely come back!

Nice place, right on the beach so you have great views. The price for our lunch was amazing, compared to the rest of the area this helps make this spot a must. Our food was decent. We each got the Mahi Mahi sandwiches. I went with the grilled option and my wife did the blackened. I up-charged to the fries and the wife had the chips. If you get this sandwich, I suggest going with the blackened. The fries cost $4, stick with the chips, they just aren’t worth the charge. Overall, great value and a real good Mai Tai.
