Pizza Paradiso
About
A Slice of Italy in the Heart of Front Street
Stepping into Pizza Paradiso feels less like walking into a typical Maui eatery and more like discovering a bustling corner trattoria. Located just steps from the ocean in historic Lahaina, the space is perpetually filled with the heady, comforting scent of bubbling mozzarella and charred dough. The open-air layout invites the warm Pacific breeze, though be prepared for a bit of acoustic energy—it gets loud here when the dinner rush hits, but that just adds to the authentic, high-octane island atmosphere.
Hand-Tossed Craftsmanship
This isn't your average quick-grab slice shop. The kitchen focuses on a thin, crispy crust that achieves that elusive, leopard-spotted char only a proper high-temperature oven can provide. Regulars swear by the signature pies that balance classic Italian tradition with local ingredients. Whether you are craving a traditional Margherita or a more robust meat-topped variety, the quality of the imported San Marzano tomato sauce is impossible to miss. It is the kind of place where you come to shake off the sand, grab a cold beer, and refuel after a day of snorkeling.
The Local Pulse
While the service is quick, the vibe is decidedly laid-back. The seating can feel a bit intimate, so you might find yourself bumping elbows with neighbors or fellow travelers, which usually turns into a conversation about the best beaches nearby. It remains a staple for those wandering the shops and galleries of the West Maui shoreline. If you are scouting for a reliable dinner spot that skips the pretense while delivering consistent, high-quality pies, this is where the locals gravitate.

This review is not for the restaurant per se but these guys did cater a private luau for 10 for my family at our resort. They were super accommodating and super easy to work with. They created a gorgeous fruit platter, Kalua Pork, Huli Huli Chicken, Poke, Teriyaki Beef, chow fun noodles, grilled veggies, specialty bread and specialty Gelato which was all fabulous! I don't know if the serve any of this at their restaurant but I trust their taste in ...taste! And quality. They were very communicative and arrived right on time and set up a very nice buffet for us. They came in right on budget and also found someone to make us a gorgeous cake. I could not be happier to have worked with them. Mahalo guys for feeding us at our unforgettable evening. {we also hired a Hula dancer and Ukulele player.. different review}

Stopped at Paradiso Pizza for a late dinner after a long travel day. Had the pepperoni pizza and it really hit the spot—great flavor and just what we needed. Friendly service and a good casual place to grab a slice.

Place is great. From the outside it looks like a small by the slice place, but don’t be mistaken! This is a full service restaurant and fantastic. Great price and value for the area. Pizza is great. The bar has drinks while you wait for takeout if you are t eating in, and the place is clean and inviting.

Pizza was delicious!! Expect a bit of a wait because they make everything fresh. Worth the wait! Also got some drinks at the bar. The Lazy Tree Hugger was yummy but bar staffing is light so it took a bit to order drinks. Bar tender was very kind though.

This place was excellent overall. The food was very good—both the pizza and the falafel pita sandwich were well made and flavorful. The service really stood out and was outstanding. They even have a robot deliver the food, which made the experience especially fun for kids. While I’ve had better pizza and falafel elsewhere, the overall experience here was great. They also offer a wide selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed, family-friendly outing.

Good pizza! Called in to order ahead of time and pickup was easy. The cheese pizza and meat lovers pizza were quite tasty. The pies were sliced many times for smaller slices which was nice for sharing and for those who don’t want a giant piece of pizza. Great for taking to the beach or back to the hotel!
