A Reliable West Maui Pit Stop

Located right along the Honoapiilani Highway, this Lahaina outpost serves as a consistent landmark for those navigating the coastal route between resort areas and the historic town center. While you are heading toward the West Maui mountains or back from a morning surf, the familiar hum of the kitchen offers a quick refueling option that locals and travelers alike recognize for its predictability.

The Island Kitchen Experience

Step inside to find a space that moves with the rapid pace of Maui traffic. The interior reflects the utilitarian design you expect, though it carries a distinct tropical humidity that reminds you exactly where you are. You will hear the rhythmic beep of fryers and the constant chatter of commuters grabbing a quick McMuffin or a post-beach Coke. It is the kind of place where the line can snake out the door during peak lunch hours, so be prepared for a bit of a wait if you are stopping by during the midday rush.

Menu Staples and Local Favorites

Beyond the classic Big Macs and world-famous fries, this location remains a staple for grabbing a quick breakfast before hitting the road for a full day of island exploration. Whether you are grabbing a meal to go or sitting down for a brief respite from the sun, the efficiency here is the main draw. Note that parking can get tight when the highway traffic backs up, so keep a sharp eye out for spots near the entrance as you pull off the main artery of West Maui.

Yeah yeah, when in Rome... When you're going abroad I think one of the things you should always do is make 1 trip to a McDonald's and this one did not disappoint! Amazing staff, super kind, serving with a smile! Great portions, condiments, selection, and mostly flavour! We loved our little Maccies stop. Mahalo!

This Mcd's has no napkin dispensers out, not even one? Which is bad because all of the tables had little leftover pieces of food on them. So, I can't even wipe off the table I want to eat at? Then, there are two drink dispensers out for customers, but there are signs that say they no longer offer free refills? First Mcd's I've been to that does that? Pretty sad. Thanks to whomever ruined it for everyone else.

With the Kona Storm hitting, this was pretty much the only food we could get our last 2 days in Hawaii so we hit the drive through. Both times, our burgers/sandwiches were hot. Long wait times because they really were one of the only places open to get dinner. Fries weren't salted but again, I think they were running out of supplies because of the storm - same reason they were out of dr. Pepper both nights. Overall, I was impressed for a fast food place 😋

One of the worst meal I ever had in a McDonald's. Soggy room temperature fries, old, almost cold chicken Mc Nuggets that should have been discarded. For the price they charge nowaday, it's not acceptable. Go elsewhere, don't waste your hard earned money here.

We came here specifically for the Hawaii-style Spam, Eggs, and Rice breakfast and honestly, we love it. It’s simple, comforting, and exactly the kind of reliable travel-day staple that works when you’re trying to get an early start. We’d do it again without hesitation, especially if you’re about to hop in the car for a big drive day. We featured it in our YouTube video, search for “Replicate the Magic” on YouTube to find it.

Never thought I’d review a McDonalds but it was a great experience. I needed WiFi & workspace for my early morning video calls. The coffee was piping hot and the wifi was strong. The staff was very kind, and the ordering for dine-in has you take a number and they bring it to you!

This was both an abhorrent and horrendous experience. I should fromcmy morning coffee order where they provided nothing but cream and caramel somehow forgetting the actual coffee part. But no, o have them another shot with 2 oreo mcflurrires and a haupia pie. I placed my order 20 minutes prior to arrival due to my earlier experience. Upon arrival there was mas chaos both drove through and inside. I then waited 40 minutes for them to tell me they did not see my order. Mind you the app had said the order was ready while we were on site. There was absolutely no organization amongst the employees and you could sense the chaos. We watched several people order numbers be called out only for them to come back saying things were missing....back to my order. I eventually had to ask for a refund where they told me they could not find m ty order and that they ran out of pie. I had to show them by order receipt as well as the funds pulled from my bank account. Wild. In the end I recieved my mcflurries (a vanilla ice pop with some oreo sprinkles) with no pie or refund for said pie. Whatever you do dont order or waste your money here, it isnt worth it at any point in the day.

Grabbed a quick bite after doing laundry. The nearest McDonald’s was this location so I went inside to eat. The ordering process was quick and simple on the kiosk and via my McDonalds app. My food was delivered to my table by an awesome employee pushing a food cart. My food was delicious, fresh and tasty!

We went through the drive through and ordered 3 medium soft drinks and 3 medium fries - just to have a snack before a later lunch. The cost was over $28 dollars. I was stunned. I understand that some things can cost more on Maui but this is ridiculous. It’s like what is happening in Vegas. They think they can continue to raise their prices for their tourist trade and we’ll just grin and bear it. But we won’t. Just like Vegas - people will decide to go to other places where they don’t feel they’re being taken advantage of. After all… it’s just McDonald, not some restaurant beach side. When I spoke of my astonishment to the cashier her comment simply was “welcome to Maui”. Shame on McDonald’s. Don’t they know that the experience at one of their locations makes you decide to not patronize any of their locations. Good luck McDonald’s - but i’m done!
