Mai Tai
About
Sip Sunset Cocktails on Front Street
When you find yourself wandering the historic heart of Lahaina, the open-air layout of Mai Tai offers a front-row seat to the Pacific. This is not a place for hushed conversations or white-tablecloth pretense; it is where the steady rhythm of crashing waves competes with the clinking of glasses and the hum of travelers sharing stories from their day on the water.
Liquid Aloha in the Pacific
True to its namesake, the house signature cocktail is the draw here—a balanced, potent blend that captures the spirit of Maui. You will smell the fresh lime and notes of dark rum before the glass even hits the teak table. The menu focuses on simple, reliable island-inspired bites designed to accompany a long afternoon of people-watching along the main thoroughfare.
A Local Perspective
The space leans into a casual, weathered aesthetic that feels authentic to the Maui coastline. Be prepared for a bit of high-energy noise, especially as the sun dips below the horizon and the crowd swells to catch the golden hour glow. While parking along this stretch of West Maui can be a chore, the accessibility of being right in the middle of the local shopping and dining district makes it an ideal stop for those looking to soak up the salt air. Whether you are seeking a quick respite from the heat or a casual spot to wind down, the straightforward approach to craft cocktails and the proximity to the ocean remain its defining characteristics.

Had a few of the happy hour Rum Punches, they were good. No food 11am, so we had yo wait. The queso dip was okay. The poke bowl was good.

Oh Em Gee. Listen. The burger was probably one of the best burgers I'd ever had. It is a resort restaurant, and worth every penny! Right off the beach of Black Rock Beach and easy to access. Shade seating as well. Don't miss this spot!
