Lahaina Yacht Club
About
A Legacy Restored on Front Street
Stepping into the Lahaina Yacht Club feels like returning to the heartbeat of West Maui. Perched directly over the harbor, this historic institution offers an unobstructed vantage point of the Pacific that few spots on the island can match. While the town has faced significant challenges, the club remains a resilient anchor for the local sailing community and those who appreciate the salt-air charm of the Lahaina waterfront.
The Waterfront Experience
The atmosphere here is distinctly unpretentious, prioritizing the view over formality. You will hear the rhythmic slap of boat hulls against the docks and the distant hum of the trade winds. It is the kind of place where locals congregate after a day on the water, making it perfect for anyone looking to escape the polished resort scene in favor of authentic nautical character. Be prepared for the vibrant, sometimes boisterous energy of club members sharing tales of the day’s swells.
Culinary Staples
The menu leans heavily into fresh, regional seafood, celebrating the catch that arrives just a few hundred yards from the kitchen. Signature items often rotate based on daily availability, but their commitment to island-style preparation remains constant. Whether you are grabbing a casual lunch or settling in for sunset cocktails, the focus is on straightforward, high-quality ingredients served with a side of coastal history.
A quick note for visitors: Keep in mind that parking in this historic district can be a puzzle, so plan your arrival with a bit of patience.

A beautiful venue at any table for sundown. The club works with the community to make water sports something for all to experience. Yachting programs are great. Staff is exceptional!

We had lunch here and enjoyed watching the kids learn to sail. The food was all good and the staff was friendly and prompt. I had the fish tacos, which were outstanding.

Great spot for arguably best mai-tais on Maui. Awesome deck front views over and on the water. Wife is hot in this photo too.

We have been coming here for 25 years. This year service is iffy at best. They are out pricing themselves as a private club. Today we ordered the Skinny Fries off happy hour menu. I was facing the kitchen and I believe our server took French fries off our order and ate them!!!! AND it's only $1.00 but we were overcharged all days for a Coors Light that the happy hour menu says $3. Bill comes and it's $4. No offer to correct. We pointed it out each time. If they are looking for new members, "guests" are a prime target. Not going to happen with the service or current pricing. Needs a real happy hour menu. Bring back PuPu hour, not early dinner. People want mini pizza, cheese sticks, coconut shrimp, etc.

Great time. Nice staff. Great prices. Great food. It is a yacht club. Still working on the fist Michelin Star. Haha. As always. Enjoyed my stay. Good crowd of locals. Appreciate what is it. Not what you want it to be. Want a 5 star meal. Go get one. Will be back over and over.

Nice spot in the heart of town to take a break and have a drink. Boats are kept upstairs and launched through the floors down to the beach.

Located on world famous Front Street in Lahaina overlooking the beautiful Pacific. Great food and great fun for it's members and reciprocal club members.
