Honokowai Okazuya & Deli

Only had the food, ordered take out, I’ll have to say the chicken katsu is a must get, very crispy, fresh, and still a little bit juicy. Overall, all of it was amazingly grape. @meta.max

The food was excellent. I ordered the Mongolian beef and my girlfriend ordered the Korean BBQ chicken and chicken katau daily combo. Both dishes were very tasty and the portions were very generous. Would absolutely eat here again!

Great local takeout spot! We got the steak and mahi (both were excellent) and walked across the street to sit on the beach, eat, and watch the sunset.

We made it a point to visit Honokowai Okazuya on the advice of Maui Jon ( Jon Blum's Maui info). It's located in a little strip mall in Kaanapali, parking is a little tight. We stopped and had their lunch special one day at one of their few little tables. The food was pretty good, service was OK, and the prices were reasonable for Maui. Good lunch spot ! 👍

Place is beyond gas. The chicken katsu and Korean bbq plate were perfection. As was the Mac salad! Place is slept on, and shouldn’t be. Hidden gem in Maui!!! Phenomenal food, phenomenal service, low key homie atmosphere that takes away from the fact that the surrounding area is super touristy driven. Support Local!

The Korean-style chicken barbecue was flavorful, though slightly on the dry side and could have benefited from a bit more sauce. Portions were more modest compared to Won’s in Kahului, though it’s worth noting this isn’t a dedicated Korean establishment and shouldn’t be judged as such. Overall, it was a wholesome, satisfying, and health-conscious meal. Be aware that seating is limited to outdoor tables only.

I got tofu stir fry and the veggies tasted like they were soaking in plastic/styrofoam. I couldnt eat it. Garlic bread was also loaded with cheese even though the menu never mentioned it. The lady at the counter seemed like she didnt want to deal with me. Definitely wouldn't come back and have to recommend others against visiting like I wish I would have been.

This place is what you looking for if you want a delicious plate lunch! I got the Terri Steak and coconut shrimp and it came with Mac salad and rice. So good and hot the spot for sure! The shrimp came with a bomb dip too. Not really a place to hang out at with only a couple outside tables in direct sun. Also the one taking orders could have been more friendly and personable. The cooks seemed to be more friendly to customers. There was no parking since the strip was busy so I had to get dropped off and then get picked up. Would recommend based on the food 🤙🏽

Stopped in right at opening on Friday, got the teriyaki steak and Korean BBQ. Both meals were cooked to order and fantastic. My steak was cooked to order perfectly. I also ordered an egg roll which was very tasty! The restaurant has bar seating and tables outside as well. I haven't been in several years and am so happy they are still here serving great food. It's affordable, filling and good!

I’m stingy with five stars, but this hole in the wall take out won the best Maui dinner award with us! We went all in, surf & turf. Fish - Ono, mahi-mahi, and Ahi, oh & amazingly tender & juicy teriyaki steak. Take out traveled well, our taste buds rewarded us. Thanks!
