About
A Taste of Mexico in the Heart of Lahaina
When you crave bold, authentic Mexican street food while wandering through the historic streets of West Maui, 808 Antojitos delivers exactly what the name promises: little cravings. Tucked away from the typical tourist traps, this spot focuses on the fundamentals of flavor rather than elaborate décor.
The Flavor Profile
The kitchen leans into the classics. You will find tacos that prioritize the quality of the tortilla and the depth of the slow-cooked proteins. The carne asada carries a distinct char that reminds you it hit a high-heat flat top moments before hitting your plate. If you enjoy a kick, their house-made salsas are not just an afterthought; they bring a bright, acidic heat that cuts right through the richness of the carnitas.
The Lahaina Atmosphere
The energy here is casual and unpretentious. It is the kind of place where locals grab a quick bite during a lunch break or refuel after a morning of surfing at nearby break points. The space is modest, and seating is efficient—do not expect white-tablecloth service. Instead, you get the hum of island conversation, the hiss of the grill, and the smell of toasted corn and cilantro wafting into the open air.
Parking in this part of Lahaina can feel like a tactical maneuver, so bring a bit of patience when pulling up. Once you snag a spot and tuck into a platter of their signature street-style offerings, the minor hassle of finding a space fades away. It is an honest, straightforward meal perfect for anyone who values substance and authenticity over pomp and circumstance.

We just got into Maui and were driving to the hotel when we came upon this food truck. Good thing we did. We had the Asada burrito with chips and salsa. The food was great! Jose the owner was very nice. Best food we have eaten in Maui. Going back for our second trip and maybe more!

By far the best Mexican food that we had on the Maui. We tried the taco plate with suadero, the pambazo, and two gorditas. The only issue I had with food was the masa on the gorditas was a little too over done and crispy.

This was our first time in Maui and also our first food truck experience here — and it did not disappoint! The menu had a nice variety to choose from, and the surrounding area added to the charm. The service was great, and the food came out quickly. We especially enjoyed the tacos — they were fresh and flavorful. The rice had a delicious garlic flavor that really stood out, though it was a bit on the salty side. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our first meal here. Prices were very reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Maui!
