About
Windward Flavors Meet Italian Tradition
Stepping into Valentina's Pizza in the heart of Kailua, you are immediately met with the savory aroma of bubbling mozzarella and charred dough. This spot has become a local staple for those craving a genuine slice without needing to hop on a plane to New York or Naples. The open kitchen layout allows you to watch the team stretch dough by hand, a rhythmic process that sets the stage for a casual, no-frills dining experience.
The Signature Slice
The menu leans heavily into classic techniques, favoring high-heat ovens that produce a perfectly blistered crust. The pepperoni pizza remains the undisputed star here, featuring thin, crispy edges that hold up under a generous layer of spiced meat and tangy tomato sauce. If you prefer something lighter, their Margherita relies on fresh basil and bright acidity to cut through the richness of the cheese.
The Kailua Neighborhood Feel
Expect a bustling, high-energy environment. The acoustics can get lively during the dinner rush, making it an excellent choice for groups of friends or families looking for a quick, satisfying meal after a day at Lanikai Beach. Be prepared to navigate the parking situation, as spaces in this popular Kailua commercial pocket can fill up fast on weekends. It is the kind of place where you order at the counter, grab a cold drink, and wait for your name to be called, embodying the relaxed yet efficient spirit of the Windward side.

Delicious pizzas! Would definitely recommend and will come here again! You can either take away or sit down at the bar next door! Really nice!

So far, this is my favorite pizza on the island. I'm a huge fan of Neapolitan style pizza, and this place knocks it out of the park. If you prefer NY or some other style this might not be exactly what you're expecting. But I honestly think this pizza was better than a couple I had in Naples. The crust was perfectly charred, just the right amount of sauce, and flavorful cheese. Definitely check it out.

I was sadly very disappointed . The pizza looked amazing online and I loved the idea of the food truck next to the bar, but was not understanding how you get a brick oven pizza out of a food truck. I got the pepperoni and my husband got sausage. Not only was there hardly any cheese or flavor besides the pepperoni, the crust was not good at all. My just said his was the same. Perhaps we are too judgy because we are from the NJ/Philly area and know really good pizza, but I’ve had good pizza in Hawaii and this isn’t or it was a bad day.
