Lanikai Juice (600 Kailua Rd Kailua Shopping Center)
About
Fuel Your Kailua Adventure
Stepping into the Kailua Shopping Center, the first thing you notice is the steady hum of blenders and the distinct, sweet scent of dragon fruit and fresh pineapple. Lanikai Juice has become the neighborhood go-to for locals finishing a morning hike or heading down to the turquoise waters of Lanikai Beach. The space is functional and quick-paced, perfect for those who want a nutrient-dense grab-and-go meal without the fuss of a formal sit-down cafe.
Signature Island Flavors
The menu leans heavily into Hawaiian-grown ingredients. The signature acai bowls are thick, icy, and generous, often topped with local honey and sliced bananas that taste like they were plucked from a tree down the road. If you need a midday pick-me-up, the green juices balance kale and ginger with enough citrus to keep the flavor profile bright rather than earthy. Everything is prepared to order, which can occasionally lead to a short wait during the mid-morning rush when the post-surf crowd rolls in.
Why Locals Keep Coming Back
Unlike massive mainland chains, this spot maintains a casual, breezy connection to the Windward side of Oahu. It is best for those who prioritize cold, refreshing snacks in a humid tropical climate. Seating is sparse and primarily outdoor-facing, which keeps things cool even when the shop gets busy. Whether you are craving a protein-packed smoothie or a classic bowl, it is the straightforward, no-nonsense quality that keeps the line moving out the door and onto the sun-drenched Kailua sidewalks.

Ordered a small Kailua Monkey. Two customers after me got their two large Kailua Monkeys and left. I had to ask about my drink, and they said they were making it. I asked for a refund because I had to leave. They said they couldn't refund me because they already made it (they were still making it). Worker claimed she couldn't find my order in the register. She stalled for a few more minutes but I had to leave. Didn't get a refund or a smoothie.

Took my family of 4 here to try it for the first time. When we walked in, there was already a family of 5 waiting for their order. We walked past them to the register to look at the menu to choose our order. The two workers, one male, one female, were working on the larger family's order. We waited for 10 minutes until the male worker walked past us, locked the front door, then returned to the register, and without making eye contact, says 'We can't serve you, we're closed'. It was 6:02pm at this time. At first I thought he was joking, so I said excuse me? He repeated that they couldn't serve us because they were closed. I explained we had already been in the restaurant waiting before he even locked the door. He again stated they were closed. No I'm sorry, no nothing. The sharp rudeness lead me to believe there was no discussion to be had, so I said this was the first and last visit for us, took my family and left. There's multiple Acai shops around in Kailua, and I could be wrong, but the ratings for this one suggest its not good enough for me to give my money to if they're not going to serve with Aloha or any bit of friendliness or respect. We could have easily been told when we first walked in that the family before us was the last order, rather than wasting our time only to be treated rudely and to not get any service.

very pretty bowls with large portions and lids if you want to take them home. You can also watch them make the smoothies and the staff is very nice and happy

5 Stars — A Must-Visit Gem in Kailua! From the moment we walked in, the crew at Lanikai Juice made us feel right at home. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us navigate the menu — a huge plus when you're trying to decide between so many tempting options! We ordered an açaí bowl and a smoothie, and both were absolutely outstanding. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, which speaks to the quality of ingredients they use. The serving sizes were generous and felt like a great value for what you get — no skimping here! Lanikai Juice is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. It's not just about the food (though that alone is worth the trip) — it's the whole experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit and can't wait to dive into another açaí bowl and smoothie!

Great customer service, and reasonable prices. However, the smoothies were ok in flavor. Not impressed with the flavor. My husband and I had two distinct smoothies and I couldn’t tell the differences in flavors between the two of them.

The place is just near the bus stop so I came here during my waiting. I ordered a coco champ and it was pretty good. The smoothie was completed in like 1 minute. Recommend.

Update: no longer offering gluten free granola, and quality seems to have gone downhill. My last smoothie was filled with unblended chunks, bowls aren’t reliably full, and ingredients don’t seem as high quality. I appreciate they still have menu items on 10% off rotation, and loyalty rewards system. Been a regular for over a decade! Love that the granola is gluten free, and the almond milk unsweetened. I customize with almond milk instead of apple juice, and they’ve always been happy to modify ($.50 upcharge.) Easy eating for someone vegan and gluten free. I miss run club, which used to leave from the store Wed nights. I met so many great friends there. It can get very busy and loud, so beware if you’re sensitive to that. Order at counter and get lucky with a seat outside, or take away. The parking lot also gets very full.

I will definitely come back here 🤤 I’m pregnant and asked them to cook the fish more, unlike other places they did it for me! I ordered Ono Island ahi and it was soooooo good, fresh vegetables, fresh mango and strawberries and shredded coconut 🥥 🥭🍓 It was like a salad that you normally have in fancy restaurants.

Great smoothies and delicious bowls. The staff was friendly and explained what types of things that they offered. They were quick and everything was delicious and fresh. The location had the new coffee that they will be selling in the future available for samples. 🌺👍🏻 …
