Formaggio Grill

Our couple came to Hawaii from Korea for a trip. After swimming at Kailua Beach Park and feeling exhausted, we stopped by Formaggio Grill because it looked the most delicious. She welcomed us warmly with a big smile and was incredibly kind. She recommended menu items for us, and most of all, we really enjoyed talking together and spending such a pleasant time there. Both the food and the service were excellent. We highly recommend this place!

Absolutely love the bar service! So fun, servers are so kind and chill! Absolutely love Sage:) definitely a great place to bring your family in friends whether it’s eating or drinking!

Really delicious place you can tell the employees are hardworking, and the meal was great as well! Overall, I’d definitely recommend it. The only downside was that it took a while to get our order, but other than that, well done.

Great service, great atmosphere, and the food is delicious. I got the kono pork pasta and my husband got the Ribeye over fries. They were both so good. The pasta is different from the pastas I usually eat and it's probably one of my favorite I've ever tasted! The calamari and house salad were also a must order. The calamari is cooked crispy and the sauce is perfect with it. Definitely come eat here!!!

Very nice place. Service was great. The food was delish. We had the salmon piccata and the Wagyu burger. The only negative was the lack of adequate parking. We had to drive around and ended up parking across the street in another shopping center.

With a power outage in Kailua, my wife and I decided to scourer the suburb for somewhere fitting to dine out. Formaggio Grill was the choice. We have dined here before and always been impressed with the service, the wine and the food….., did I mention they have live music every Friday and Saturday night….!!! We ordered the Bistecca Griglia - a fabulous sizzling steak, tomato and onion dish. Half way through cooking the power outage struck and darkness fell upon all of us. The meal didn’t disappoint and was on point and beautiful.

Ok… came in hungry, with moderate expectations. Without a doubt, this place offered me one of the BEST burgers I have EVER had. Not kidding! Pizza was crazy good!!! But the burger! Seriously! Unbelievable!!! Thank you Formaggio Grill for making my lunch memorable and delicious! Macy the server is Fantastic and Chef Cody ROCKS. Go Here! Eat here! I Love this place!!!

This restaurant is such a gem in the heart of Kailua! I’ve been here over a dozen times and they have never ceased to amaze me with their variety and quality of the dishes. I posted a few pictures of recent fare I had there. I often judge a restaurant depending on how good a certain common dish is, and one of them happens to be calamari. I have to say this is the best calamari I have ever had. Even better than a restaurant whose name rhymes with Sneako’s. The pono pork pasta is absolutely delicious, and the portion will feed me for lunch and a leftover dinner. The Caesar Salad is filling and always crisp and fresh. Ambience is casual, yet you could go to dinner a little dressed up, and you wouldn’t look out of place. Service. It’s serious business nowadays. It will definitely make or break you. I put this above the food and ambience categories. It’s very important to me, I’ve worked in a food service position before and would always treat people like how I prefer to be treated (well, duh! ). I have always been treated very warmly by the staff; they’re very friendly and welcoming. Even the chefs in the kitchen nod “wassup” to you. Orders are taken promptly and the food arrives in a timely manner. They come and check up on you, and not in a cursory manner either. All in all, I highly recommend Formaggio’s Grill to everyone that wants great food and great service in a relaxed atmosphere!

Great happy hour prices—50% off starters and drinks. I opted for 3 different appetizers and a bourbon lemonade, all for a total of $34.50. The bacon wrapped shrimp 🍤 were amazing floating in some kind of delicious sauce, the roasted Brussels sprouts were delish and the blue cheese & walnut salad was as well. Happy hour is from 4:30pm - 5:30 pm.

The place was empty upon arrival. It has a high end look to it but some of the printed paintings do go quite well. Their wine selection is good though they can use some beers especially cider. The food looks delicious but lacks any real flavor. The employees are professional and courteous.
