Creekside Bar
About
Cold Brews Along the Windward Coast
When you find yourself wandering through the quiet pockets of Kailua, Creekside Bar offers a distinct departure from the polished tourist hubs. This is a classic neighborhood joint where the hum of local conversation often rises above the soft clinking of glassware. The space maintains a raw, unpretentious charm that caters to residents looking to unwind after a long day in the sun.
A Local Perspective on the Windward Vibe
Stepping inside, you are greeted by the scent of chilled beer and the unmistakable sound of island classic rock playing over the speakers. The interior leans into its casual roots, featuring a no-frills setup that prioritizes comfort over luxury. It is the kind of establishment where you can arrive in boardshorts and flip-flops without a second glance. While the parking lot can get a bit tight during the peak pau hana rush, the trade-off is an authentic slice of Windward Oahu life that is increasingly hard to find.
Why Locals Keep Coming Back
This is not a destination for fine dining; it is a hub for community connection. Whether you are a regular catching up with the bartender or a curious traveler hoping to escape the main beach crowds, the environment remains consistently welcoming. It is an ideal spot to grab a pint of local craft beer, settle into a worn bar stool, and soak in the humid breeze blowing in from the nearby coast. If you value a place that remains honest to its roots in the heart of Hawaii, this bar delivers an essential, salt-of-the-earth experience.

Great small dive. Be prepared to hear everyone’s conversations and bump elbows once in a while. They have two dart boards and a great looking bar and tvs. They also host fight nights here in payper view, will cost an entry fee if you come those nights. No food, no pool table.

Needed to find a great place to hang out and have a few drinks. I had a 12 person wedding party with a hour to kill. This place had great reviews. I see why. Hospital. Lots of places to lounge and hang. Tons of parking. Dont drink and drive. Or if you got someone like me. They even got a place for my shuttle bus.

This is the ideal little dive bar. It’s the kinda place where it’s 3pm and there’s only two open seats left at the bar and one of those seats is reserved for a guy named “willi” who arrives promptly at 3:30. I sat down and when I asked for a menu the bar tender actually said “no we don’t have a menu” (no frills, just good drinks and good vibes). I had two solid Long Islands and it came out to less than $25. The price is unbeatable. There was also military memorabilia proudly displayed. It’s clearly a place thats veteran friendly and welcoming to Marines.
